Bigfoot just called, he says you hurt his feelings. Why you gotta be hating on bigfoot? You abigfootists are all the same.

Its the old 'I was one of you' ploy by someone who has not the first clue about atheism.

Yeah, the tired old ploy of a "former atheist". Here was my first clue that this troll was NEVER an atheist:

Quote:Please keep in mind I was a hardcore atheist for the last 2 years of my life ...So before this some of you probably knew me as the guy who never seemed to be happy and the guy who sorta hated God.

These religious fuckwits should at least learn what atheism is before they come on here spouting their bullshit. A "hardcore atheist" that "hated God"? Idiot fucking douchebag.

Good catch. Yep, I'm guessing that even if something similar to this happened, this version has a good helping of fiction and deceit mixed in.

Also, I read the entire thing. Do I get a cookie?
What falls away is always, and is near.

Also, I am not pretending to be female, this profile picture is my wonderful girlfriend. XD

But at least the Bigfoot hunters & believers don't make death threats to people who don't believe in Bigfoot.

Well that is true of course.

I for one would not want to go around pissing off Bigfoot though - he's badass and has a very short temper.

All you Bigfoot doubters don't know what you're talking about. I know Bigfoot exists - I saw him on T.V., so it must be true.

There is far more evidence for Bigfoot than God. We at least know what Bigfoot is supposed to look like.

It's irrefutable. See the documentary I linked in my earlier post. There's a bunch more like it on youtube. You can't deny evidence of that caliber - and if you do, you must REALLY hate Bigfoot.

That Jack Links guy - man, he's a relentless Bigfoot researcher. Great sense of humor too, but everyone knows Bigfoot hates practical jokes.

When I was religious, I prayed for things which never happened. Can anyone explain how this was God?

No but Barf....I mean Garth Brooks can: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qJfLBFjHCs (sorry I couldn't find the official video).

I think I might just get killed for that one. Hee, hee Cranky

On a much much sadder note, try this song (after taking a few antidepressants first). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQG5wHWGs...re=related

That just goes with my assertion that (assuming God exists) prayer is totally useless. If you pray for something and it's not God's will, then it will never happen, so praying for it is a waste of time. If something is God's will, then it's going to happen anyway whether you pray for it or not.

But those of us with functional brains can see that answered prayers vs. unanswered prayers run pretty much the same as chance.

Ever heard of of 'doublethink'?

It seems to me that it is virtually impossible to have an IQ above room temperature AND be a dogmatic believer without an expert capacity for doublethink.

Quote:Doublethink, a word coined by George Orwell in the novel 1984, describes the act of simultaneously accepting two mutually contradictory beliefs as correct, often in distinct social contexts.[1] It is related to, but distinct from, hypocrisy and neutrality. Its opposite is cognitive dissonance, where the two beliefs cause conflict in one's mind. Doublethink is an integral concept of George Orwell's dystopian novel Nineteen Eighty-Four. The word doublethink is part of Newspeak.
