I fucking love otters. That's awesome, Rayaan.

I used to go hiking at a place called Blue Hills near Boston with my family when I was a kid. They had an otter at the small zoo there. He was my favorite part of the whole thing and I really loved that place, so that is saying a lot. They are the most playful little animals I have ever seen. They beat smelly ferrets any day.

I love river otters too, not just sea otters, but god are they destructive little fucks if they're inside a house. I watched a video that I can't find at the moment of two of them just ripping through a house with incredible energy - worse than ferrets!

But so sweet!

I won't bother posting it because I'm sure we've all heard it ad nauseum, but "If I Didn't Have You" by Tim Minchin is one of the most realistically romantic songs I've heard.

There was a baby sea otter caught in a beach net once. I remember signaling from the beach to a dory 1/4th a mile away because my radio didn't work. They came, rescued the thing, and went off on their way.
