To be fair, the bias of the researcher is usually the least of the problems with studies on the efficacy of prayer Chad. The same is true of 5ths study, it isn't the researcher, it's sampling size. Efficacy of prayer isn't the researcher, its the nature of the claim, the structure of the experiment, and confirmation bias (oftentimes completely unintentional and not part of the researchers own personal bent). Coming up with a quality experiment ain't easy.
