I'm sure he's perfectly smart, and sometimes his posts elsewhere make decent sense. But he is suffering badly from some form of cultural indoctrination here, which I suspect he knows he cannot really defend, hence the barrage of unqualified assertion.
I also have a nasty case of lastworditis rather than patience

Yes I would say individually atheists are only mildly homophobic possibly 50% homophobic, but your average nasty christian is maybe 80-90% homophobic...Interesting that you can be more or less homophobic, here was me thinking you either are homophobic or you're not homophobic? I know I'm totally scared whitless of homosexuals, the fear is overwhelming....never has a word been so factually incorrect in its usage

I would love to reply to all of you, but as NoMoreFaith mentioned in his posts, it's also a matter of culture.
On what I don't agree on is, that I don't think that the culture in the USA is as open about homosexuality as you people are.
In my own defense, I'm rather too open minded about homosexuality and homosexuals than most individuals in my general area(Balkans&middle east), however, I believe that people should have their limits. These limits border along the lines where the core structures of society flourish. Like for example, marriage, and the insititution of family.
I defend things from my own viewpoint, as you people do the same.

No, it's not a social issue in my country, but it certainly is a social issue in some western countries, like, for example, in the US.
I suggest that we stop arguing here, as I believe there is nothing else to be said about it.

However, the bible is the reason for such hatred of homosexuality. Look at society before the bible. Homosexuality wasn't a problem. I'm sure those Armies that had to travel across country on foot or horseback were all about butt, when they weren't raping and pillaging. Also, there are a lot of homophobic homosexuals that are religious. Weird.

Well of course it's an assertion without evidence. What do you think faith is? "It's the conviction of things not seen" as my magic book says. My magic book says love is evil when the body parts are similar so that's of course what I go by. What do you want, me to think for myself or something?

If you look at modern society, marriage is far different from what it was and trying to keep something the same just will not work something need to change. Marriage as we know it is dead years ago, there are lots more single heterosexual people and allowing gay people to to be out and marry is more beneficial as:
A. more money for governments
B.improved overall moral
C.lower divorce rate
It will take time for the world to adapt but it can only be beneficial and this world needs to be united (or at least tolerant) with other people or we will destroy are self's. I have nothing against anybody but I hate peoples willingness to be part of mass stupidity and even the most educated can act stupidly when with a group.
