Same sex marriage
RE: Same sex marriage
Quote:Oh really? I thought I was responding to the lottery numbers coming up on my screen. I really must have missed what you said.
You did, as a matter of fact. But I hope I could have explained myself with the examples I gave in my last post. We shall see.
Quote:Even IF what you say is true, that would not be decided by the colour of your skin, but rather racial and social stereotypes. Without such stereotypes there would be none of what you mention.
"Colour of your skin"...Is a metaphor used by countries like yourselves. Here, we are of all the same "colour" of skin.
Besides, it has been known that "skin colour" is not an appropriate means of determining one's race, as we can safely state that a person from Habeshistan is not of the same race as a Bantu from lower Africa, just as we can say that an Australian Aborginal is not of the same race as any of the two.
Stereotypes...Well, you do not need a stereotype to assert your ethnical heritage. You just need to be born into it.
Quote:Oh I understand your points just fine. Your pointing out what a bigot you are.

Getting a strange sense of déjà vu.
You're living in a dreamworld, friend. I wonder when you're going to wake up from it.
Quote:I'll just take your word for it Doctor Mehmet.
No, don't take it from me. Take it from the examples I gave.
Quote:Are you really so naive? You think wars, ANY war, is fought because of the blood people have?

New level of stupidity here.
Than you can safely tell me that the Greeks in our country have not actively supported the incoming Greek invasion from mainland Greece due to their Greek blood, while the Turks actively opposed with armed resistance.
I think you are really this naive.
Quote:Another load of tripe from you Mehmet. Say hello to the fucking Gurkhas you dipshit. They are more loyal to Britain than anyone else on this fucking planet, yet most of them haven't even stepped on the soil of the British Isles.
You seriously must live in your own little bubble.
The Gurkhas, like the say, Irish before their national revolution, were a race of mercenaries, devoid of any real national goals.

If they are loyal to britain more than they are to say, Gurkhaland, I'd say that they are already devoid of any national consciousness. But obviously, they're not. So you see, people do actually always strive for ethnic liberation and the seperation of their own consciousness from whom they perceive as a people that reside over them in a country.

The Irishmen, however, of whose majority speaks the english language, have maintained their national identity, and have struck against britain to win their independence.
The Gurkhas are only a single case of loyalty towards someone besides one's own. And it's really baffling, I believe that the years of living under colonial conditions has melted away their ethnic consciousness, as they can even be found at Singapore, doing the same stuff as policemen.
Whatever.
My points still stand.
I am still waiting how you're going to explain to me that the years and years that we're fighting terrorists who aim to archive an independent Kurdistan is not related to their own bloodline, their own ethnicity.
Obviously, they wish to build a state that is built on the Kurdish national identity.
So can you really tell me that I should not expect a Turk to be more loyal to Turkey, the land of the Turks, than our minorities?
People lie to themselves, and think that minorities love this country. In fact, minorities constantly strive to act against it. A person who is a half-breed, is like a ticking bomb. One can never know for which side he/she will act. The founder of the PKK, Abdullah Öcalan, is a half-breed himself, a Kurdish-Turkish halfbreed.
I need no more proof of the instability of the half-breed.

And denying marrying myself and a woman should be against my constitutional rights. Remember segregation? Yeah, let's bring that one back. Great idea.

homosexual marriage should be completely legal, but a church shouldn't be forced to perform the marriage and make it official. A court can make the marriage legally official, and the ceremony can be done separately.

I'm cutting out the rest of the bullshit in your post, to what I think is most relevant. Frankly you're boring me.

I will explain to you a simple point. People may fight for their 'race' or whatever, but that doesn't make it right. Nor does that make one race of people any better than another.

This is the crux of the issue is it not? At least that is the issue I have with the bullcrap you have been posting. Unless ofcourse you seem to think I am missing some valuable piece of information which elevates your national identity above others. From what I have read you are a bigot, and you seem to be proud of it.

On a rough calculation ( based on current population and PPP estimates ) they would have a combined PPP per capita of $10,800 (international $) which places this theoretical nation at 75th - 80th out of the world. Definitely not best.

Well, we need not be the best, friend. We just need to be united.
Time will only tell if we will advance even further. Hopefully we will. And even if we are not the best right now, why should we not strive to be the best?
Such ideas like "we can never be this" and "we can never be that" are words of a loser. He has accepted to be the loser from the start. With such weak minded individuals, we cannot even advance further than the state we're in right now. Why actually strive to build an industry? Why actually strive to create our own technology? Why actually strive to create a clean society?
Why strive to combat social injustice? We will strive to do our best.
That is the least we should do.
Quote:1. You're a racist.
2. I never said I consider myself better than anyone.
3. The rights of the individual should be held over the rights of a society because if even one person's rights are infringed upon, you're doing it wrong.
4. I do not consider myself above the law, although I will advocate it's change if the law infringes on rights or if it's based on incredible ignorance.
5. I advocate unity. In fact, I'd love it if we'd stop all this bullshit about "my country this, my country that, I'm going to start wars and murder people for my country". That's not unity. I consider myself, first and foremost, a citizen of the Earth and then a citizen of America.
6. Respecting the individual and placing yourself above people are not the same thing.
1. I am, and I am proud to state this. Obviously, there are a lot of negative connections that are associated with this word.
In Turkish, racist means "Irkçı". It takes on the same suffix as "Kralcı", which means "supporter of the King". For me, a racist person is a person that supports his own race, and supports it above all others.
Whatever connections you seem to associate with it are not really of my concern.
2. You don't have to. You do so every time you vote, you assert moral superiority to others, although you claim no racial superiority, you have it in you every time you speak of christians, where you claim to be individually, superior to them.
3. What if those "supposed" rights infringe upon my rights? Obviously the society is always above the people, as people exist as nothing more than animals without society.
4. I'm glad to hear that you are not someone who supports anarchy, though. Sensible person, you are.
5. There is no country called earth, friend. Besides, country this, country that are things that exist due to the social evolution we've went through. These are the pinnacle of human social evolution. The nation state.

Right or left. It's the reality. The reality that you don't want to accept for some reason.
People fight over their own ethnic/racial identity because they hold their identity above the other, or want to protect it against the domination of another one.
Sadly, the current policies until now have been towards the assimilation of said minorities, which has backfired. I would certainly not welcome the assimilation of some persian leftovers in Anatolia. Neither did they, as they have chosen to take it to the mountains, instead of handling things the legal way. But that's the way things are. People die for their own blood. People kill for their own blood. People build their political platforms around their own blood.
This is the reality of the world, friend. The reality that you do not want to accept.
Therefore, you call it bullshit, while the bullshit smells in your own mind, when you call it "wrong". It's not wrong, it's simply natural for a man to protect his own identity, or exalt it above the others.
Even in nature, there are tribes, who are in constant strife with eachother.

I did refer to your post, and I found it not to answer my questions, other than to state that it's wrong according to your own point of view. Lots of things are wrong according to our viewpoints. Obviously, what is right and what is wrong? I assert moral superiority, if you want to accept it or not. I do not accept whatever moral superiority you assert in this subject, as it's clearly harmful to implement such things when it comes to the real world.

Oh go fuck yourself. Not once have I denied that people are racist bigots just like you. Quite the fucking contrary.

Asserting 'reality' does NOT however give you the 'moral superiority' to claim it to be perfectly fine to be racist.

It's like saying "Oh well there are people who think it's okay to rape young girls, so I think it's okay to rape young girls, and I have the moral superiority to think so".

Fucking ludicrous.

And you obviously have not denied that the majority of earth's population are like this, as we are fractured into nation states, and even have different languages and cultures by which we associate ourselves, how dare we.
Obviously, if we were as you, we would all speak esperanto. Why don't you start by teaching us your moral superiority in this issue by renouncing your national identity first?
I am merely being a realist when I embrace my own people before everyone else. Everyone does this, but not everyone can speak up.
I can, and I do not fear naive do-gooders like you.
It is indeed perfectly fine, as the natural order of the world commands you to be one.
On the other hand, the natural order of the world does not require you to rape girls. I don't know why you chose to give such an irrelevant example.

Yeah you're right I haven't, unless you think otherwise. If so please tell me where I said this as I'm curious to know exactly what the fuck I'm thinking because obviously you know exactly what the fuck I'm thinking before I've even fucking thought about fucking thinking it.

Quote:Obviously, if we were as you, we would all speak esperanto. Why don't you start by teaching us your moral superiority in this issue by renouncing your national identity first?

Oh look! You're thinking for me again! How fucking nice of you...

I guess you know all about my political and social views and how I actually do not give a flying fuck if this world was one big country or hundreds of separate ones.

Naive do-gooder? HAHA. I'm actually quite complimented by this obscene misjudgement of my character.

The natural order of the world commands jack shit. It is you who is naive. Grow a fucking brain please.

Because it perfectly demonstrated the line of thinking you are taking. Herpa fucking derp Einstein.
