Hah! Nah it's not the equipment that makes you good. It just all depends on how serious you are with music. That's when equipment becomes vital.

I have enough equipment to get by. I get exactly the kind of sounds and tone I want out of my stuff.

Found this ...I have (as a prize possession) a CD Celtic Lace- Ceoltoiri sung in Gaelic (lyrics)
English version
"Women of Ireland", or "Mná na h-Éireann" in Irish, is a beautiful song composed by Seán Ó Riada (1931--1971). The poem, on which the music is based, was written by Peadar Ó Dornín (?1704--1769), This video features the Gaelic lyrics. Below is an English translation, though there are variations (only the first two verses are sung in this version):
There's a woman in Erin who'd give me shelter and my fill of ale;
There's a woman in Ireland who'd prefer my strains to strings being played;
There's a woman in Erin and nothing would please her more
Than to see me burning or in a grave lying cold.
There's a woman in Erin who'd be mad with envy if I was kissed
By another on fair-day, they have strange ways, but I love them all;
There are women I'll always adore, battalions of women and more
And there's this sensuous beauty and she shackled to an ugly boar.
There's a woman who promised if I'd wander with her I'd find some gold
A woman in night dress with a loveliness worth more than the woman
Who vexed Ballymoyer and the plain of Tyrone;
And the only cure for my pain I'm sure is the ale-house down the road.
This one is nice...like it

What a strange word for a penis.

I taught myself bass and guitar a couple years ago - I currently have a Bass Collection 5 string from '96, with a 400W Ashdown head with 4x10" cab ( budget brand) and a 120W Hartke 1x12" combo. I only have an acoustic guitar, so I borrow off friends when I can
I also play trombone, which I moved onto when my trumpet teacher suggested it.

Well, I haven't actually used these guitars regularly, but I still have a few, and I tend to name them, and some of these names might not make a lot of sense.
Electric: Line 6 Variax (Memmo, a reference to my dementia-addled grandmother)
a no-name Les Paul copy (Pierre, the name of the late Vietnam vet i bought it off for $50)
a Yahama strat (Lubbock, after the hometown of Buddy Holly)
an SG copy I built myself from a Saga kit (Feckslayer, after Harry Potter's guitar in HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.)
Acoustic: Art and Lutherie AMi, (R.J., short for Robert Johnson)
aSamick classical (Len, after Leonard Cohen)
Martin Backpacker (Dustin, after the Graduate, because I got it for my grade school graduation.)
an off-brand 12-string (Huddie, after Leadbelly)
an old Harmony acoustic (No-name, because I couldn't think of a good one.)
Other: 2 Ukuleles
1 Banjo
1 Fiddle
1 Appalachian Dulcimer
1 Mandolin
1 barely playable "Fame" acoustic guitar that belongs to my dad.
Estimated number of Wind Instruments:
4 Harmonicas,
Infinity recorders
1 Xaphoon (Bamboo Saxophone)
1 Clarinet
1 wooden fife.
Amps: Behringer 30W
Pignose Amp
Yamaha GA-10 that came with Lubbock
Effects: Danelectro Sitar emulator
Dunlop Crybaby
Danelectro Slap echo.
