Each describes the soul's spiritual condition in relationship to god. It's not possible for an evil person to be in a heavenly state. Nor is it possible for a good person of good intent to be in a hellish one.

Please notice I made no reference to religious affiliation or lack thereof.

Yes, but you did made a bunch of claims there as I marked. Please explain your reasoning there. And provide evidence for a 'spiritual condition'. While you're at it, provide evidence that we have a 'soul'.
PS- and define 'soul', 'god', 'heaven' and 'hell' while you're at it.

I answered the question directly to show how it presented a straw man. The concepts for which you desire clarification and proof are currently being discussed on other threads in depth using a serious approach.

That's not what all theists believe though it is now? Your "disclaimer" of no reference to religious affiliation or lack thereof discounted.

Would you give up a guaranteed place in heaven to save the souls of a 1000 atheists?

If you say no then you would not be judged or punished and be allowed into heaven anyway.

This pre-supposes that theists are nice.

You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.

Correct. I follow the heretical teachings of an obscure Christian mystic. And even among Swedenborgians, I'm a bit eccentric.

A serious approach to fairy tales, you mean comparative mythology, rgr? Jerkoff
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Its remarkable that all the different beliefs of Heaven, Hell and/or other places/states make oblivion sound very comforting by comparison. Undecided

For many years I thought it very romantic- feeling like a brief spark bound by an abyss on one side and a void on the other. I understand how you can be okay with the idea of oblivion.

I'll bet you my soul that the real answer the theists would give is a definitive NO.
