Well, I'm pretty sure that a "documentary" which featured the history channels resident pyrimidiot http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giorgio_A._Tsoukalos is what set of all the "what if's". That the rest of the post was garbage is pretty simple to explain from that starting point.

Am I the only one who can't wait for December 21 to come and go so we can put all this stupid shit behind us? It's just Y2K all over again. Then nutjobs will be looking for the next date to be the end of the world and we'll have to go through it again.

There's a church near my house. It has a sign that reads "Ready or not, here I come. -Jesus".
They put it up two days before Januray 1st, 2012. Now they won't take it down because they would feel too silly.
Funny how they don't even flinch when their predicted date passes.
