My grand, grand father had bought himself a large portion of land from present day İstinye in İstanbul, along with three other guys, to be used as fishing grounds by net. The area extends further into the sea and also 30 meters back to the ground, although I'm not sure how wide it goes.
The Turkish gov. long ago had build roads, a hospital and an embassy on the place. If we would have sold it back then, we'd be rich right now. But we had no knowledge of it yet, and my grand grandfather's partners sold their portion of the land, we know not what has become of them.
Now we have successfully sued the municipality for the land on which they built so much, and we have the deed to prove it.
I think the money is going to be split between 4 families into another four, with one being mine. I think that each family will get about..2.5 million TL, which amounts to over one million dollar.
We didn't even have to win the lottery, we had one winning ticket we weren't even aware of!
Maybe it'll amount to more, but we set our standards to the minimum so we won't have to disappointed, which it 2.5 TL.
Maybe I'll travel abroads this year. I'm thinking of Finlan.
Maybe I'll go further east to the Altai for a pilgrimage to the holy mountains.
Or maybe we all go for a family trip to somewhere else, the whole family.
