Christian group books anti-gay ads to appear on buses
This is pure stupidity and ignorance.
Quote:London buses have been booked to carry a Christian advertising campaign expected to start next week, which asserts the power of therapy to change the sexual orientation of gay people.

The full length advert, which will appear on five different routes in the capital, is backed by the Core Issues Trust whose leader, Mike Davies, believes "homoerotic behaviour is sinful". His charity funds "reparative therapy" for gay Christians who believe that they have homosexual feelings but want to become straight. The campaign is also backed by Anglican Mainstream, an worldwide orthodox Anglican group whose supporters have equated homosexuality with alcoholism.

Lucky the British Conservative party knows when something needs to be pulled and the Mayor of London Boris Johnson pulled it. Looks like all Xian wackos are not in the US.

Good old Boris.

There is no way such a campaign should be allowed. It is basically hate crime against gays. They might allow that over the pond but I'm glad over here we seem to have at least some sense.

Here in the states Christians would be whining that their beliefs were being oppressed.

Yeah, but they seem to forget it is their beliefs which opress others.

They have, they said something along the lines of "We didn't realise there was censorship in place".

If you’re going to watch tele, you should watch Scooby Doo. That show was so cool because every time there’s a church with a ghoul, or a ghost in a school. They looked beneath the mask and what was inside?

On the contrary, they remember quite fondly that their beliefs oppress others. That's what happens when you are certain that you believe in the 'one true god,' and you express your beliefs vicariously through this god.

Well England we had the shit ass crazy religious for centuries and we know how to deal with them. They say: "were being oppressed" we say "STFU no your not, your being abusive ". Its in legislation and if they complain we just ignore them.

"Conditioning" of homosexuals caused us to lose one of the greatest minds of the 20th Century, Alan Turing. I am at a loss as to how this man, who practically started computer science and helped the allies win WW2 is any less deserving of life than a heterosexual.

Why have they got it in for the gays anyway?

The ones I know seem fairly harmless.
