I think sex drive isn't quite as crazy high as movies lead you to think (in males). Maybe you have an average/slightly below average sex drive and then the depression took it down even more. Either way, and I know we don't really know each other, but I mean this, if you ever feel really, really depressed, send me a PM or something. I have a similar condition.

I do not recommend calling anyone a "tranny" or a "shemale". These are generally derogatory or come off as extremely bigoted. I do not know any transwoman who does like to be called these things... especially during transition when many of us are at our lowest point of self-confidence. That is not to say such people do not exist... but I would suggest that they might not necessarily be intending to undergo genital SRS.

Man or Woman: Funnily enough, most transgendered people prefer to not be referred to as trans at all. I do not like to be spoken of or treated as anything different from other woman... I bring out my trans status to inform, provide some humor, and provide myself as a beacon into the trans community.

Transgender: This is the go-to term to discus trans-related topics.

Transsexual: This is another go-to term, there is a rather even split in the trans community as to which term (transsexual or transgender) is the better.

Transman/transwoman: If you are going to refer to someone's trans status, these are fine ways to introduce the person under our bigendered system. Make sure you associate he with transmen and she with transwomen, or your pronouns will be very uncomfortable for them.

Transpeople/transperson: we as a group are such... albeit this is impersonal and I would recommend not using the latter often.

Trans*: if you're talking with people who know full well what a transsexual is, this is (with or without the asterisk) a rather acceptable abbreviation.

... Pronouns are important, and don't use anything else that a transgendered person hasn't individually cleared for you. In example: You may call me a translady all you wish.
