[Faith No More]

I went to high school in the mid 90's, and the first year I was there we only had one computer connected to the internet in the library. The students weren't supposed to close the browser when they were done, but apparently it became quite the problem. The guy in charge of the library(they got mad if you called them librarians, they wanted to be called media-specialists) put up a sign next to the computer saying, "Students do not have the power to turn off the internet."

My friends and I got a big kick out that.

They are called media specialists FYI lol. The media guy at my school does the library and manages the little broadcast the school does.

When I was in high school there were a couple of VT05 terminals in the main office and another one in the counselor’s office. None of the 3000 plus students were allowed anywhere near them. They were very 2001: A Space Odyssey ish. In my sophomore year I studied vacuum tube theory in tech school though.
