It gives an alternative to a creation scenario. With no alternative, god must have done it and therefore they are theists. Are you really that dense?
Really? You think that evolution is a creative process? Please explain to me how evolution created life? I'm all ears, coz I'm dense as you say...

You said Quote:religion induces the mind to unquestioning servitude and blind obedience.
That simply is not true. Any intelligent person can see that. Please act like a grown up.
Are you sure I said that. This is why its worth naming the person you quote.. I didn't write the original comment. An intelligent person would be able to read.
What I did do, is point out that its a viewpoint shared by great thinkers on both sides of the argument, and claiming those who reject it, is merely an appeal to authority not EVIDENCE like you claimed.

What's more ironic is that is my point, at least we admit its faith, you don't. I'm perfectly aware of it, you've just agreed with my point and refused to accept it when applied to atheism...

True. But you misunderstand what atheism is. You can't draw a picture of disbelief in things. I think there have been interesting literature about disbelief wither it is great or not is a matter of opinion.
You also seem to miss out that there are many things that inspire people. Not just religion. If you went to a gallery you would find most paintings are not inspired by religion. Same as if you went to a library most books are not religious or inspired by religion.
You also have to note the many horrific things inspired by religion such as the crusades, witch burnings and even recently murders and suicide bombings. It also inspires homophobia, sexism and divides humanity.

Atheism simply means without theism. Where does the faith bit come in?
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan
Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.
Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.
You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

Natural Selection advances life, it doesn't create it. Abiogenesis is a creative process.
With no knowledge of these things, you'd have to assume that god did it.

Stat, do you have any quantifiable evidence for your god.
Because if not, you have no case.

So your alternative creation is non-creative, well done. Now explain the exact process of abiogenesis to me..Remember you are the one who said evolution is an alternative to creation, which you now admit is not a creative process, now you have said abiogenesis which you are about to explain how that works exactly, yes?
