These songs are nonsense, and only illusions, on which Christians get a free ride. -A YouTube video I once saw

Religious people like to chant magical incantations and invocations? Go to a "christian rock" event...they're drawing down the power brother. They may as well be dancing naked around a fucking bonfire high on shrooms. (it's also a great place to pick up women......or men)
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Go Catholic if you want to meet good women. I have no idea what Catholic girls Billy Joel was singing about. Maybe they're different where he grew up. No idea about the men. I didn't discover I was bi until late in my single years.

Hey, as far as homosexual christian men are concerned, what could be more alluring, engaging, or intoxicating than the massive wellspring of personal shame these guys have found a way to bathe in without offing themselves? Talk about a complicated person. Were I so inclined, I probably couldnt help myself, which might explain why I used to trawl the venues in the first place. I could practically smell the desperate stench of a need for validation and self worth (and what was on offer to those that might provide it even if it was only for the evening)....

Quote:It is too late in the day for men of sincerity to pretend they believe in the Platonic mysticisms that three are one, and one is three; and yet that the one is not three, and the three are not one . . . But this constitutes the craft, the power and the profit of the priests. Sweep away their gossamer fabrics of factitious religion, and they would catch no more flies. We should all then, like the Quakers, live without an order of priests, moralize for ourselves, follow the oracle of conscience, and say nothing about what no man can understand, nor therefore believe. |
