"I don't know" is not an answer. You simply wanted to put in your pathetic crap about finding god and used this thread as a prop, without answering my question. If you can't see the ridicule behind the idea of soul existence, please do make something up, it wouldn't be such a big issue, the whole bible is made up anyway.

Actually I. Don't know is a perfectly good answer. One that most theists don't seem to like when it comes to things like causes of big bangs or abiogenesis

What does this have to do with the OP's question?

Posting topical scriptural references is usually ok, but I see no relevance here.

So? Placebos are the "moth" Richard Dawkins talks about in the God Delusion. It has always been much easier for our species to make up answers and group to protect those placebos, than it is to do the work to find out the actual reality.

You kick the credulous hard enough they will cling to the first life raft thrown to them, even if it a superstition. The superstition might save them, but it only means that sugar pills do get us by.

Evolution isn't about humans finding facts. All life gets by by merely work and luck to the point of reproduction. If someone believes in crop circles and Ouija boards and manages to make a baby, while a teenage atheists walks across the street and gets killed by a car, the credulous one has managed to make life and the atheist did not.

So, how are souls made and why are they different? Are there "smart" souls and "dumb" souls? Why "dumb" souls are put into bodies, knowing fully well that they are going to create issues on Earth for "smart" (good) souls? Why not simply recycle the bad ones (send them straight to hell)?

I can't help but notice that in your hasty desire to belittle my question with your snarky repsonse, you decided to completely ignore the second half of my post.

Also how do souls come to be? Are they individually crafted by god? Is there a team of angels making them (much like toys in Santa's workshop I presume)? Does god has a say in the quality of this work?

I did not answer because I thought it was self evident.

for not all believers are destitute.

I did not belittle your question you asked how did I know what I was saying was true. I reference the bible verse I left in my orginal post to you. nothing more nothing less.

You guys read far too much into my posts. If i was as full of venom as you believe me to be then why am I here? Why do i even take the time to do this? I have a family and a business to run. What would be my end, what do i get? sharky responses???

Adam's soul was described as a breath of Life from God.

Adam had its body made first and then was made alive with this breath of life thing. You just said a bit earlier that souls are made in heaven and get put into bodies based on their performance. Now you are saying that god comes and blows down the throat of every baby that gets born (four times every second???). Which one is it? How does it work and how souls are put together? I think this information is pretty fundamental as it should describe what happens to this immortal soul that matters so much for all Christians.

I completely disagree. Drich answered the diversory points in the OP. It's not Drichs fault that the OP digressed into cheap point scoring.

@ the OP.. surely you could ask most atheists as apparently they're much more well read when it comes to religious texts. At least that's a very familiar claim.

RE: Soul creation
The more sensible question is: What the hell is a soul/spirit/ghost that everyone seems to be endlessly banging on about? Its like an appeal to popular culture, folklore or tradition. How can anyone believe in something so poorly defined, for all intents and purposes it serves as a non-entity?
