Actually it is her business, just as it was mine to comment on your insult to Mystic. THAT was what I meant by telling you anyone may comment on any post.
You will find that people here will comment when you behave like an obnoxious little dick, as you have in this thread.
That's OK,hopefully you'll grow up a bit once you start senior high school

Nice straw man you have there.
Huh, it's almost like you don't know what a strawman is...

I'm getting a rude condescending tone from you Taqiyya. It doesn't really invite any discussion. It just scares people away, leaves bad feelings, and changes no minds.
If you were dealing with a regular nutjob christian your responses would hold more weight. But you're dealing with a pretty sensible deist. The approach you've chosen on this discussion is poor and unreasonable.

I'm not saying you can't comment on things, I just expressed that I thought your nastiness wasn't necessary to the conversation.

And I can comment on any post as well, your control issues notwithstanding.

I am behaving like a skeptic who is not impressed with a line of bullshit. If you have a problem with that, you know where the back button is.

The straw man is the claim that I think he would "fall before my greatness".

Except you forgot the crucial part of a strawman: the argument.
What Annik said was obviously hyperbole used to underline a key point: that you're a narcissistic little prick. That is not a strawman.

It is clear that Mystic is unwilling to examine the difference between reasoning and "feelings". This has been pointed out and he refuses to consider there is a difference. If you call that sensible, you can have it.

You kiddies have fun dreaming up smoke screens for your disingenuous little friend, I've got far better things to do this night than entertain your irrelevant quibbling.

You're certainly not inviting any change in attitude by being an asshole. If you're trying to promote rational thinking, you're doing a piss poor job of it.

Oh, I'm sure you do. That's why you're here injecting your hateful bullshit into this thread.
I like how you ignorantly accuse Annik's hyperbole as being a strawman, then turn right around and commit a logical fallacy of your own.

Quote:A lot of Muslims could say to me, God knows his laws better, there could be some logic we are unaware of that says you are wrong. Can you prove definitely with valid arguments that we shouldn't kill people leaving the religion? For all you know, it's for the greater good that these laws were applied.
Killing people for thinking for themselves is probably the dumbest thing mankind has ever done. You hold back the progress of our species by doing that. Think of all the bright minds destroyed that could of made a difference. It's disgusting.
Some believe killing our own kind is for the greater good, but what if it's not? What if we're actually doing it (without knowing it) for the greater evil?
It makes sense not to kill people, it's something you should know naturally. You should be able to work it out for yourself easily. Anyone who can't needs professional help for their mental illness.
Anyone who tries to rationalise killing for a religious belief is a serious danger to the public.
"Those who believe in absurdities can commit atrocities."
Quote:This could be that the apostates if no fear of leaving the religion, would influence others, and a domino effect would make people unbelievers.
What's wrong with that?
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan
Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.
Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.
You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.
