RE: why i respect muslims more than christians

I don't respect members of either group simply by virtue of being part of that group. While some Christians and Muslims are murders, hypocrites, and imbeciles, others are charitable, kind and intelligent. Any label that encompasses such a diverse group of people can only be respected if you're okay with holding contradictory actions and viewpoints in esteem. I respect very few people; usually those who are intelligent, insightful, or freethinking.
The ignorance and violence some Muslims live in is a symptom of abysmal education and autocratic government in my eyes (in fact, the latter is probably responsible for the former now that I think about it). Ignorance will beget ignorance, as will violence create more of itself, like flames. The middle east is less an indictment of Islam, and more one of human nature, I think. The Muslim world was not always the way it is today.
