Homosexuality
RE: Homosexuality
Hate to sound like an asshole (to rational people) but even though i know homosexuality is natural i'm still rendered uncomfortable by a great deal of it, not in a hatred way, but in the same way woman talking about menopause makes me uncomfortable, well more correctly, makes me cringe a little.

Any other non-theists hold this view?

I have no doubt there are, in fact I am sure of it. It is a common phenomenon in any walk of life and I see no reason to assume that non-theists would be exempt from it.

RE: Homosexuality
There is no inherent reason for one to cringe or feel uncomfortable about sex, the body, bodial fluids, or really a lot of things that our prudish society would avoid mentioning.

I think a great deal of that prudishness comes from our social environment and from taboo.

Its our victorian sex obsessed and overly repressed society, its hard to shake the embarrassment.

The research showed that there is a correlation between being gay and having older brothers. In other words, the more older brothers you had, the more likely you are to be a homosexual. John Barrowman had one older brother who wasn't gay, but his mother revealed to him that she had a miscarriage which was also a boy. The two older brothers increased his own chances of being gay.

RE: Homosexuality
I think a lot of men have an issue with the anal sex part of homosexuality even if they are ok with homosexuals. Many men I know of cringe when someone talks about two men having sex in their presence. Those same men are completely fine with gay rights. I think it's the thought of something going into their own butt that makes them feel strange. More women are ok with anal sex than men. Most men won't even let a woman do anything anal to them.

Damn right! Women have no buisness in that, or near that, area.

They don't? You are aware that from anus to scrotum is only a few inches right?

I do, therefore is the area around anus adjusted to that. By near that area meaning; almost in that area, but not really. However quite close.

I don't think I'd like it (don't really know) but hey, if someone (male or female) let's someone do it to them then why not the reverse?
