You're not the only one who's thought that. Well, with chemistry/biology. But prosthetics? Rocket feet, Hover hands, Inbuilt spy style grappling hooks, springs for feet? Would get a bit ridiculous.

I personally don't think he should be allowed to compete to be honest.
Don't get me wrong, I don't want to take anything away from his achievement, but to say it gives him no advantage is plain ridiculous. How about the fact he can't get injured any lower than his knees. For instance, he won't suddenly pull a calf, like every other athlete can. He doesn't have to build any muscle in those areas. That's more time training on other muscles. Okay he might not have a specific 'advantage' in the sense of him actually racing, but surely there is an advantage in his physical attributes by having prosthetic legs.
I mean, I thought the whole point of the paralympics was so people like him could compete. Having him compete with non-amputees doesn't seem like a level playing field.

I know he did. I just figured that if Zebo didn't want to spend 30 seconds putting together a mental list of potential cons for a professional athlete to voluntarily cut their fucking legs off then he didn’t deserve a serious answer.

I'm one of the probably 99.9% of people who do not follow competitive running at all and do not care who wins what. The human interest element of Oscar Pistorius is more interesting to me than a competition which is, otherwise, of no personal relevance.
I also watch the beach volleyball contests. Felt sorry for those poor, beautiful Spanish ladies when Team USA came back and beat them.
