Since everyone knows that "gingers" (red-heads) have no soul, it must follow that they are descended from the monkeymen who never interbred with any of Adam and Eve's offspring. Which, of course, means that all monkeymen were red-heads.

You forgot about the flood. It took out all but noah's family and they were all decendants of Adam (Had souls)

Ahh...but gingers are here now, and it is a well-known fact that they have no soul. Since they obviously did not descend from Noah (or else, of course, they would have souls), I guess that pretty much shoots a big hole in your flood story.

Am I missing something do you know of a study or something that ties souls to genes? It is my understanding that souls simply indewell bodies, and are tied to them so long as they live.

No, but because everything else in the human body is strongly connected to genes, I can't see why there suddenly would be a part that has absolutely nothing to do with them. As I said before, I did this to humor you, not because I took your OP seriously.
But, since you're allowed to bullshit and fabricate fantasy, so am I. Could you be so kind as to give your thoughts on the dilemma if the soul indeed was connected to a particular gene and if it is recessive, how a believer with monkey man ancestors could have any hope as to be saved?

There may have been a flood in the Caucasus around the time of Noah, but no evidence that A) he existed or B) it was worldwide. Also, what's to stop noah or one of his ancestors being illegitimate, seeming as everyone was so evil?

Also, why did god decide to make two of one random species on Earth have a soul?

Unless you find a way this hypothesis can be tested and shown to make accurate predictions, or you can find records (fossils etc.) that corroborate the same, I suggest we agree to file this under the category of unsubstantiated bullshit.

Another thing that came to me these lines Drich, why do you feel the need to reconcile your creation narrative with the fossil record but not the geological record? The two are pretty well tied at the hip. Why is genesis "otherwise irreconcilable" -your opinion, not mine, in the case of the fossil record but not in the case of the deluge and the geological record? Shouldn't you be coming up with some creative extra-biblical "explanation" for the flood narrative as well? Matter of fact, since we're doing this, there's quite a bit of your narrative that you may want to re-write.....
