I think it's you who should work out the said miracle friend.
I base my views on the fact that the institution of marriage is based on tradition, the raising of children, and the forming of a family.
Your views are based on the simple fact that certain people want it. Speaking of forming another country, maybe you should go and form your own country where you and your fabulous friends can get married to whomever you want to. But that's not what you really want.
All you ever wanted was to get the majority to accept your every feeble request, and when they don't, you can simply tell them that their "excuses" are not valid.

Marriage of course being a 'tradition' that exists because people wanted it...

But I see really that you're that interested in equality and fair treatment under the law and more interested in restricting the rights of 'minorities' by virtue of the fact they're different to the majority. I mean, you're inferring that tradition is always right. Sounds suspiciously like fallacious reasoning to me.

Gay marriage won't change anything in society except that gay folk will be able to 'marry' and call it a marriage. What a world changer...Undecided but never mind, equality under the law is happening, at least here in England and Wales, and there's not a thing the religious institutions in this country can do to stop it. People needed it.
It has a certain purpose, it doesn't exist so that some people can use it in order to normalize their otherwise socially unacceptable behaviour.

I already told in this thread, heterosexuals and homosexuals are not equal friend. They never will be. Homosexuals walk the darkness to live our their carnal desires, while heterosexuals had marriage for centuries to give their carnal desires a purpose beyond simple pleasure.
So do not expect me to treat them as equal in any way.
But they are different and they take delight in being different, meaning they have accepted this. As the Russian president Putin put it forth, "We do not need the minorities, they need us". A minority faced with such a calamity has two options. Either conform with the majority, or take up weapons to force the majority to do their demands, as do many ethnic seperatist groups around the world. Let's see you do this. If you are so vain to have your wishes realized, best you fight for it. And to be honest, I don't see no homosexuals fighting for it, instead a bunch of leftist/liberal good doers that do the work for them.

Define socially unacceptable behaviour.

It was once considered socially unacceptable for interracial couples to legally marry, but that was merely due to the socially ignorant perceptions of religious idiots like you who have no valid basis for denying marriage legality to particular couples.

Didn't read beyond this. You expose yourself as a bigot for judging people based on who they are with no prior indication as to what kind of person they are. You may as well say you think black people are inferior to white people because of the colour of their skin.

Keep fighting the good fight. The more deludedly ignorant people such as yourself talk about this type of subject, the more notions like gay rights and equality for all people's on the planet gain momentum. You've probably just made a few forum lurkers support homosexual marriage unions through this one post alone.

Good job, mate.

Define socially unacceptable behaviour.

Although a very broad term that also includes theft, murder, slander, and generally disturbing the peace by either making noise, or behavior such as throwing eggs at bypassers, I especially speak of public exposure of what is deemed to be abhorrent in public eyes.
And you can't really tell me that the public doesn't think that homosexuality is anything but abhorrent. This fact has been covered numerous times in the media, and the fact that words such as gay, homo, and other more vulgar expressions are used as profanity speaks for the fact that homosexuality is not accepted by the public. Any and all displays in public regarding homosexuality are considered to be as such. This also includes the legitimization of the said behavior. As you cannot legitimize indecent exposure of single individuals, you cannot legitimize the exposure of multiple ones, and have the state recognize their behavior on the top of that. Doing this will certainly incure the wrath of the public.

Just as the argument of "infertile couples" the argument of "interracial couples" is not really applicable.
Interracial couples, heterosexual of course, will always enjoy a lot more acceptance from the public since the reaction against them is founded on a different basis. No one is really contesting the fact that there are interracial homosexual couples, for the "interracial" factor is immidiately overruled by the fact that the couple is a homosexual couple. No matter what you do, you can't change this fact.

Views are changing, and it is becoming more acceptable. Just take a look at what happened recently, after all. The defense of marriage act was struck down by the Supreme Court as being unconstitutional.

If your entire argument against same-sex marriage hinges on your opinion that only a man and a woman can legally marry, then you are not providing anything valid. You are merely spewing hateful religious propaganda.

I don't care if you read or not. Indeed that's the only thing you do well, cover your ears and eyes when someone presents and opinion that you don't like.
I have put up with your silly liberal quack for about an hour without complaining about it, have I not?
Of course I'm going to judge people by who they are, especially homosexuals, who wish to be judged on those grounds, else they certainly would not have come up with an idea of forming a "sexual minority", nor would they publicly ridicule themselves by enacting parades on which they flaunt their homosexual identities in front of public eyes. I'm not saying that all homosexuals do this, but the ones that we see do. So why really tell me all of this? Go tell them.
Really, I'm fairly sick of you internationalists going on ranting about the same things, yet you really don't amount to anything.
