Luckily, the people who can instantly spot the common transperson are usually transpeople themselves. We know what we're looking for, and we are constantly comparing ourselves to our cisgendered peers.

If you pass, that's really as far as it 'needs' to go... plenty of fish aren't blessed with beauty, so it's not as though you particularly stand out. Some unfortunate transpeople look *very much* like they are in a midway stage. I don't think you should waste your empathy on yourself here, you're fine.

I have mixed feelings about 'the surgery.' I want a vagina, but there are a lot of things standing in the way right now. If I had enough money and I knew my boyfriend was going to be ok with it (he has his own body issues we're working on getting through), I'd probably do it. Still, I wish I didn't have to lose my penis to get one; I wish I could have both.

The finances are really standing in the way, though. Price tag for SRS starts at $12,000. I might look at just getting an orchiectomy for a fraction of the price and be done with it except that it would probably interfere with my 'job performance' and, consequentially, cut into my income.

Considering that I engage in all sexual activities under the deeply-rooted psychological understanding that I already have a vagina... absolutely. To do otherwise would be to deny me the pleasure of going straight from 'melting under pleasure' to orgasm. To climax currently... Anyway, transsexuality/genderqueerity has nothing whatsoever to do with sexual attraction... I know lesbian transwomen, gay transmen, totally straight members of either of those groups, bisexuals, pansexuals, asexuals, all sorts of polyamorous, many wholly monogomous, and some who simply do not care "if it happens, it happens" types.

I have no idea what causes the misconception that transpeople can't be just as homosexual as straight people... infact I'd rather say there's a greater portion of us who swing both ways, because after doing this: what does it fucking matter?

Wow, sounds complicated. Still I guess it must be nice having a group you definitely belong in.
I mean its one of the perks of being in a minority I guess. Also no-one could accuse you of being boring. I mean if just how you define gender and sexuality is an immensely complex subject of debate in a community then you're going to inevitably have more interesting conversations. I guess thats why alot of people who live that lifestyle are mostly rather interesting to talk to. They get alot of practice with the more indepth subjects. Although I suppose in that regard simplicity must be an extremely rare and welcome commodity. Nobody wants to have that kind of involved shit on their mind 24/7.
