Do you often draw a positive conclusion from a negative premise that is so conveniently nestled within your premises to begin with Mystic?

I'm confused as to what you mean.
A -> B = Not B -> Not A.
They mean the same thing. If this is what you are asking about.
A->B
Not B
Therefore Not A.
Is logically valid.

I see two negatives and two A's, one in the premise one in an affirmative conclusion.
Let me approach this from yet another angle. Is A the only sufficient condition for B (are you asserting this)?

Double negatives cancel to make a positive.
Not A -> B = Not B -> A
Not A -> B
Not B -> not not A
The two "not"s cancel out and you left with
Not B -> A

They are three different promises unless the translation you put is completely off.
