You shouldn't assume things, bro. I don't accept any theology, because it's all bullshit. Physics and mathematics have no relation to theology, so I'm confused by why you mentioned them in that context. I believe in spell check. Sorry you don't.

God, Devil, if they don't exist then plainly your CEO's but regardless your notions about constant worship is irrelavant to the question of existence furthermore you seem to be a Frank Sinatra atheist if you will shaking your hand at God(assuming he exists of course) saying I did my way!! In the face of contradictory evidence always go with reason my friend.

I worship the gods of punctuation. Sometimes, I sin, but not like you just did. Jesusfuckingchrist!

How exactly does punctuation have any validity of the soundness of the argument of someone(within reason of course) if you were familar with such things you would know I was employing inductive argument from analogy, not to prove you wrong but to show your unfounded criticism of hell is blatantly wrong. Furthermore I can accept something without believing its true. For example I accept string theory there is most definitely a concept known as string theory however I don't believe it is true. Maybe admitting concept with forcing validity ought to be something you study in the near future. Furthermore I don't use New Reply so I don't employ spell check I apoligize if it offends your non-sensical gods.

Furthermore you don't attack my central point of the codependance of human nature, especially in Aristotle. If your Telos is to simply be a jerk and disregard other peoples opinions and reason your just as bad as a young earth creationist

Because I can't even begin to take someone seriously when they constintly mispel words and dictate their points in fatuous run on sentences about a hell for which they have no shred of evidence furthermore whether or not a person can get to heaven through virtue and good deeds is entirely irrelevant until you can prove which a heaven exists and which heaven it is

You guys need to prove to me that atheists aren't all a bunch of jerks who can't carry on a civilized conversation.

A conversation, civilised or not, requires a minimum of two interlocutors, neither of whom throwing their toys out of the pram after every reply. Like the old saying goes, it takes two to tango. Conversation is going to be impossible if the basic principles of civility are ignored. Translated: here you will get as good as you give. If you want respect, start earning it.

By the way, we don't 'need' to prove anything of the kind. Please get over yourself. Seriously, because this petulant prick act is getting really boring now.

I think the odds of your ending up in hell are critically dependent on the odds of hell actually existing in the first place. I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

For what it's worth, Minimalist can be rather obnoxiously offensive. (Actually, he almost always is.) But he's a good egg, and he knows lots of neat stuff about the world, past and present. Don't judge a book by its cover.

I would note that I've never had a conversation with Min that wasn't friendly and polite, or at least cordial. Then again, I tend not to treat people like shit on my shoe as a general rule. Maybe there's a connection?

(Not directed at anyone in particular, merely an observation.)

Catholicism isn't alone here. Strict theology of any Judeo Christian sect says pretty much the same thing. Hell, from what I understand Muslims are about the same way. If you're Baptist, you generally believe that only Baptists are going to heaven. If you're Catholic, you only believe Catholics are going to heaven. If you're Methodist, you believe only Methodists are going to heaven. And since the great majority of people throughout history haven't belonged to any of those sects (I mean, two entire continents full of people hadn't even heard of Jesus until over 1,500 years after he died), the great majority of people aren't fit for their version of heaven.

At least the Mormons are a bit less strict with that; they believe in some kind of multi-layer heaven where the best of the best get the best afterlife, but you would still go to a heaven that's less paradise if you aren't as good. According to Mormon theology, it's pretty damn hard to go to hell; even Hitler himself may not be there, not because he's good, but because some interpretations of Mormon theology say no human soul goes to hell. I'll have to ask Lee how I can explain that in detail when he wakes up. Still, from what he's told me about the LDS church, they have an alarming amount of similarities to Catholicism.

To be honest, I've never known Min to pussyfoot around. What we all appreciate is how succinctly he makes his points without loss of substance. He also has a sense of humor. But we all have a roll to play here. Yours may as the butt of his jokes. (Thanks.)

Were there a hell, it would be endured by some upon this plane... heaven is a place of peace, and that is death.

I can't recollect that I've actually had a conversation with Min. He tends to be the Don Rickles of AFO, with much of his discourse confined to one-liners.
