I've been known to play the occasional round of Pocket Pool.
Everything I needed to know about life I learned on Dagobah.
I do Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. I won a battleaxe in a tournament once. That was cool.
I can drink 17 shots of vodka before I collapse and throw up, but some beat me at this game.

I probably watch more NFL football than any other sport, followed by hockey, then baseball and basketball. I enjoy all of those sports and I just love the numbers and statistics and the analysis and strategies and so on. I can discuss any of them all day, and occasionally make a valid point even.
I can watch golf in very short spurts, like a couple of minutes, and then I'm wondering if it would really be so bad to spend the rest of my life blind. Similarly with bowling. Some sports are fun to participate in, but not really to watch. Soccer is somewhere in between. Love playing it (haven't played in decades, though) but don't watch it very often. Have pretty much no idea regarding the strategies and without that it's mostly a confusing jumble. I might just be too old to want to learn another sport. THE RATINGS MAN, GOTTA GET DEM RATINGS! Oh, don't be silly. No one would pay money to watch other people having sex.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

eSports for the win.
Nothing brings a smile to my face like punishing a team so hard that it collapses the next day. The sign of a job well done. That and being banned from so many team's servers that I had to make a new XBL account.
I like to play any sport that is not a synchronous team sport. That means no team sports where I actively have to interact with other players. Like basketball, hockey, soccer.
Sports that I do like to play are things like darts, martial arts, tennis, swimming, etc.
As a former rugby player, rugby union tops my list (go, All Blacks!!), followed in no particular order by: Gaelic footie, road bowling, rounders/baseball, hurling, and competitive ferret skinning.

Football...hopefully I can make it to Brasil next year...also American-style baseball.
But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin.
I don't really care to play any sports. I do like to play cornhole (bags). I really like darts.
I like to watch baseball, but it's much better in the stadium, beer prices excepted. XGames type stuff is cool to watch as well. Not a sport, but I would love to participate in the Redbull Flugtag. Thanks to Cinjin for making it more 'sig space' friendly. |
