Personally I don't like professional sports as I do not have the mindset to be a follower, However I like amateur sports and I like the culture around Rugby union, both my kids are players in that sport.

Sorry. I've never met an American who hasn't tried to tell me how much tougher American football is than rugby as soon as I get onto sports before.

Apparently, it's not all Bettman's fault, but still. How much money do you fucking need? And they are nuts if they think that the NHL and survive another season-not-played.

I'm afraid it is. The NHLPA offered to play under the old contract while negotiating. Buttman said "no."

There's some owner egging him on, but I forget his name/town. Bettman totally has the power to make the season go on and he's just losing money by not agreeing. Hockey isn't that popular where I'm from, so I'm not sure my team can last with one more season of zero profits.
