@Akin-What about what was said has you hung up (and why did you feel the need to post a clip from a joke-reel in the first place)?
@IATIA.-I wasn't aware that there was a suitable theory for the origins of the first self replicating molecules as of yet..links? I was aware of the success at New York University but I'm not sure how that applies to origins, as the techniques they used were not "available to the cosmos" as far as we know. I suppose it does show that self replicating molecules can occur without the presence of magic though...... (are we thinking of the same folks?)

People are ready to say ID isn't science and that it's creationism.
Richard Dawkins, respected evolutionary biologist and big-name atheist, when asked to speculate on how life began, says maybe life came from intelligent aliens - in other words, an intelligent designer. That's weird, right?

Damn, Overlord, you beat me to it! Quite by chance, I was watching that exact video just last night, so when I saw the bastardised clip on the previous page, it was the first thing that popped into my head. If I was feeling mean, I'd say that only those with a vested interest in preserving simple beliefs would be so willingly taken in by simple editing tricks. In other words, such video clips as posted with no contextual framework, as on the previous page, feed into a deep-seated need to believe.

Stein asked Dawkins several times to speculate on whether he thought it was possible if life on Earth came about due to ID.
