why there is a need to see in order to believe?

If you see 2 goats getting together with another 2goats then you draw a conclusion there are 4 goats . That is not believing as of results of seen evidence. It is logic through visual.

Imagine retarded person not being able to use logic see those goats. He would just see goats and remain un convinced

The senses can be fooled. http://atheistforums.org/thread-15076.ht...ht=sensory

Optical illusions are just one way the senses can be tricked.

Sorry to say this again, but it is not the senses which are fooled, it is that our brains misinterpret the information.

...what is the difference? Our eyes aren't malfunctioning, but our perception is distorted. If our perception=/=our sense then what does? (honest question)

Those pics further reinforce my argument you don't need seeing to believe. Maybe believe is not the right word. Conclude is much closer word.

Darkstar; The information coming to you is consistent, but the way the brain interprets that information can be distorted. There are some visual illusions that can be learnt, and some that can be overcome.

wkl6644; To explain my position, I might find some things more or less probable, but 'believe/conclude' implies I have decided this or that is true, I try not to do that because I am not in a position to have a complete knowledge, or even to know if that is possible, and I like to be honest and admit I do not know.

You would be shitting in your pants if ghost make himself visible infront of you. What more do you expect if supreme being shows up to deliver the message.

We'll cross that bridge when we get there. So far no supreme being has showed up.
Nor even a ghost!

I think it might be so, but I recognise that I am also driven emotionally, and I also think I may have been developed to select information that aids my survival, as such it would be difficult to know which part of my thinking could be said to be purely or partly logical.
