RE: Testimony (why not share)
Ok, I'll share. My daughter was playing with one of her friends, when I overheard the word "jesus" being used. I listened for a moment to the conversation, and then went out side and sat down with them - I guess you could say I felt "compelled" to do so. I told them both that Jesus was a little like Santa, that he was made up, mostly, to make people feel better about stuff, and that they shouldn't spend their time worrying about what jesus or god thought, but instead how they could be good people, and how to better themselves. My daughters friend said rather hotly that her dad told her that god created everything and that he would get mad that I had told her different. I said, well get your dad to give me a call, and he can get mad at me.
The next day I got a call from the dad. It wasn't a bad call - he and I get on well enough - but he asked if I felt ok contradicting things he considered truths to a child. I told him that this was one of the drawbacks of indoctrinating children - they want everyone to think the same way, even if you don't. If your daughter wants to try to pass on the indoctrination to my daughter, I am going to apply inoculation. I am going to vaccinate my child. If there is a splash effect - too bad. If you want your child to hang out with my child, her meme is going to have to survive my meme. And Bro - my meme has evidence.
He was ok with that, and the two girls still hang out.

RE: Testimony (why not share)
Had something of a similar thing myself, many moons ago. My nephew Chris was then perhaps about six or seven or so - he's twenty-three now (where does the time go?) - and one of my closest friends (we'll call him Dave) was visiting as he always did, playing video games until well into the wee hours. Anyway, Dave (because that's his name) and his then-girlfriend, now wife, somewhere along the line caught religion. Not in any serious way, more a sort of hobby or a social thing. Either way Dave at least is nowhere near as devout as he was then possibly due to my influence. Well, I caught him telling Chris about Hell and Satan and all his demons, that sort of thing. If I remember correctly, there was some sticker or badge involved as well, which he'd obviously got from his church, probably as some sort of witnessing prop. Bear in mind that Chris was wide-eyed and impressionable as many kids are at that age. Chris took these horror stories more or less in his stride at the time, but I could see his bottom lip was quivering and I asked Dave to please knock it off, which he did.

Later, after Dave had gone, Chris came up to me, his trusted and favourite uncle, and wanted reassurance that they were just silly stories and nothing more, none of it was real and after a while he forgot all about it and we went back to doing normal family stuff. I promised him I'd have a word with Dave and ask him not to do it again, and one short sharp 'chat' later, that's what happened. Incidentally, we're still very great friends and have been for many years; it's just that one of us has some very peculiar ideas.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'
