Failed Biblical Prophecies
RE: Failed Biblical Prophecies
And the evidence that it was written in "Hebrew" is where? This is another canard that you shitheads trot out when things go against you.

The earliest specimens we have of the OT are in Greek.

We Changed the hebrew word and translated into the word 'found' To give us a ball park understanding of the passage. Meaning in order for you to use the english word only and the english defination onto a hebrew passage mean YOU ARE CHANGING THE DEFINATION OF THE WORD, and subsequently the whole meaning of the passage to fit your arguement. (Straw man.)

Changed!?! Four out of the five definitons roughly meant 'found', and only one didn't. Who's changing things? Back in those times, they probably though that if Tyre was destroyed in the manner they claimed, no one would be able to find it. They were wrong.

Old and forgetful. We've had this conversation at least 4 times now.

Just because something is older (especially if it is in another language) does not mean everything after it was copied from the foreign text.

No one has. For no one has been in the presents of one single stone of that city since it was consumed by the sea, therefore fullfilling the prophecy.

You can walk through the ruins of Tyre, or any other sites at which the Heavenly Psychopath gleefully committed mass murder of innocent women and children, without any extra risk of dying of cancer.

So, even when God is trying to be the worst he can be, we outdo him by accident.

Pussy.

Quote:The silted up harbour on the south side of the peninsula has been excavated by the French Institute for Archaeology in the Near East, but most of the remains of the Phoenician period still lie beneath the present town.

How does one excavate something without being in said thing's prescence?

No you can not. Not the tyre of Ezekiel. It was destroyed and every stone was cast into the sea by the army of alexander the great in an attempt to try and reach the Island port of Tyre. The Ruins the remain were built to the North of the old city site. It was a completely new city that retained the same name. It is known as the 'Roman city of Tyre." I left links to the Nat Geo website that explains this and show pictures. the Orginal city was lost and never seen again Just like the Prophesy said!

What are you talking about? The city has not been excavated. It sits under the causway/ Land that once was the ocean between the main land and the Island port. Some time after the sea deposited a trillion tons of sand on the stones that once was Ezekeil's city of tyre. The modern city of Tyre was built on top of the causeway that form on top of the stones alexander's army cast into the sea. In order to 'excavate' Ezk's tyre the new city (skyscrapers and highways) have to be torn down. Ezk's tyre is gone and will never be found again.
(Maybe if you took the time to look at some of the links provided we would not be rehashing established material.)

As I have pointed out many times now and posted links to confirm The Ruins of tyre that can be seen are the reminants of what was built by the Romans (centuries after Ezekiel's tyre was cast into the sea.)

There are/were 3 cities set on 3 seperate foundations all name Tyre. Just because number 2 or city number 3 have the name tyre does not mean the prophecy in Ezk did not come true.

...you didn't read it, did you?
Let me show it one more time:

(bolding and italics added)
When you say 'the city has not been excavated', it is misleading. Most of the city has not been excavated, but part of it has been. Therefore we have found the city, even if we have not excavated the whole thing, we know it is there because we found part of it. Yes, I am talking about the Phonecian original Tyre, not the Roman one. It says so right in the quote. Most of the Phonecian Tyre has not been excavated, but some of it has been.
