Well of course it is biased, just like racial i.q. studies. It is not based on the capability of the person (women) in general. But rather it's based upon the average women in that field. Besides it all depends on the persons interest, commitment, and passion. To be truth full if you had 100 men and 100 women who were all just as passionate about physics I'm sure it would be about dead even in their capabilities other than the fact women have better communication skills and work together better. :p

I grew up with two sisters. You couldn't be more wrong.

Said opinion piece dealt with a organization rejecting applicants over aesthetics, not ability.

WHO funds this organization?

Do they care?

If you can't answer the last two, then what fucking hope do you have of effecting change?

1. The organization in question is rejecting applicants out of some notion of appearance (race, gender, etc).

2. The organization, like Chick-Fil-A, has a defined audience who empowers them in some way

3. Said audience is in a position to effect change.

4. If said audience does not care, then change will not occur or not stick with time.

I think women are allot smarter and better than men in many area's. Maybe it is sexism, but from the women around me they haven't been offended yet just men. Man *Hey that's sexism women are not better than us!* I'm allowed to have whatever opinion I want.

It's kinda funny I mentioned the communication skills and working together. It's not like you can say women are just as physically strong as us, Indeed they can be and surpass with intensive workouts.

An interesting question, have any women on AF been offended by me in any ways? Only women answer.

When I was growing up, I found myself far more interested in stereotypically "male" activities. I quickly realized I was in the minority. I was often ostracized for liking video games, heavy rock music and generally having a male circle of friends.

That being said, women are statistically less likely to go into hard maths and sciences. I submit it's a sociological phenomenon; it's the effect of conditioning our girls with their expected gender roles. This doesn't mean that they are less or more capable in the fields. It only means that likely due to sociological factors, women are less likely to be interested in the subjects.

I often find when looking at a problem, it can be quite illuminating to try to look at it from a different angle, and to look for similar situations.

Show me something other than a study that screams "bias!" with some meaningful conclusions (as to how and why) than simply using said study and implying that the males are simply sexist.

Actually that is not my position at all, I think there are all sorts of variables, which affect how groups of people are perceived, which then has implications for individuals in that group. And I would add the person with such a bias is often not even be aware of it. Just encase here is another study on impartiality-
