My hair is rarely cooperative. Damn curls... It gets big in the humidity too (Texas big). I just love how we have driven the misogynistic thread off a cliff and are talking about our hair...

Single Men and Bachelors: Feminism is not for you.

Fuck it - it's more interesting this way.
My hair used to be a total Jew'fro and then I got back on birth control and now I have to hot roller it. Hormones - what can you do? I like it better that way though - much more control if I do something vintage/pin up. It could turn into a real rat's nest before. Mom said hers did that every time she had a kid - curly, straight, curly, wavy. ![]() RE: Single Men and Bachelors: Feminism is not for you.

Thanks. Truth be told, I like the pig tails because it seems to reflect so much of my laid back, fun loving, carefree attitude. It's hard to get it even in back, though, especially given the smallness of my bathroom and lack of good mirrors otherwise.

I shed a lot. With my first pregnancy I didn't lose any hair at all. I could have done shampoo commercials. Then about a week after the birth my hair started to fall out in clumps. It was terrifying, I thought I was going bald. But I didn't. Since I shaved it it's gotten more curly though. Every time it grows out the texture changes slightly.
I can only to high pigtails right now, and I can never get them even, one is always higher than the other. RE: Single Men and Bachelors: Feminism is not for you.

Is that a side effect of discontinuing the pre-natal vitamins?

Being pregnant and ending a pregnancy really screw with hormones and testosterone is what causes some men (and even the occasional woman) to go bald. I'm guessing your testosterone levels spiked a little after you gave birth but then went back to normal. Y'know, this entire thread about feminism turned into a thread with three women talking about hair. Fuck. We're falling right into the stereotype, aren't we?

I think it was the pregnancy hormones. My hair shed normally during my second pregnancy, and I took the same pre-natal for both.
I love the fact that a thread about gender stereotypes and feminism got derailed into women getting chatty about their hair.

Every pregnancy and every woman is different. There's quite a range for what is normal.
Talking about our hair is way more interesting than listening to Spectrum expound on how it's his right to be a dick.
Not that it isn't - I'm just more interested in hearing about preggers hair than his justification for it. ![]() |
