Farewell to Obama? Not a chance.

Farewell to Obama? Not a chance.
Well. I've just spent the last six hours poring over every bit of polling data I could find, comparing it with polling data from 2008, with employment figures, quality-of-life indexes, and other tidbits between 2008 and today.

Obama's pretty much slated for victory. I know that's going to ruffle the jimmies of a few people on this forum but, oh well. It's ENTIRELY possible Obama will lose, but in all honesty I can't really see how. He won't win Florida, I don't think, but he's going to hold enough states all the same to maintain his position. I think Romney's failing here was his actions spoke too loudly of crony-capitalism, accepting money from the wrong people, utterly failing the debates horribly, and generally not bringing any new ideas to the board that resonate very strongly with the voters.

Who knows. Maybe I'll eat my words. But I doubt it.

I really hope you're right... I'm not going to celebrate or cry until the votes are in and multiple news channels call it. I haven't forgotten about the 2000 election, my first time voting and THAT happened...

Well amusingly enough the only polls I could find that showed Romney winning were from barely-literate bible-belt bloggers...and they never really said anything to convince me that what they were spewing wasn't pure, concentrated dog-shit.

2000 was a terrific example of corruption and cronyism at play in the US. Romney's family isn't nearly so entrenched in politics as the Bush family.

My registered republican wife, daughter of two staunch conservatives, will be casting her vote for Obama wihtout any sort of inffluence from myself. That is a win for me no matter who gets elected.

Lately, I've been thinking that electing Romney would be better on the long run: Alot of americans deserve to have a thick cock up their asses to appreciate certain aspects of life and Romney is definately the way to go. But when I think about the ones undeserving of such threatment, I retract from that though.

Either way, don't really care, its not my country and around here we have our own problems.

I already voted. Yay for early voting. Seriously, though, the tea party branch of the Republican party terrifies me and if they get any power, they're so evangelical that they could really hurt me. No way I'm going to do anything to empower them.

I just voted. I won't say for who but I will say I am unhappy with Obama, four more years of the same is something i am not looking forward to. I can't stand Romney, that religious nut scares me to death. There are others in the race. Doesn't really matter who i voted for Obama is going to take it. I think the reason some are saying it will be a nail biter it's so they can sell more newspapers. We wll know tonight.

I keep saying it. It bears repeating.

Remember 2004. Take nothing for granted. Plus, Republican voter suppression efforts are in overdrive this election. They can steal this one if the mindless conserva-bots aren't sufficient in number.

Agreed, D-P. They have invested too much money in this election to let a little thing like "voting" let it get away from them!

In June of 43 there was a military coup
Behind it was a gang called the G.O.U.
Who did not feel the need to be elected

They had themselves a party at the point of a gun
It was slightly to the right of Attila the Hun
A bomb or two and very few objected
