(First off this rant is not aimed at anybody, and secondly this is not about a God/dess or God/desses is about their followers in general)
I had to get this off my chest, it's been brewing for a while.
The reasons why I hate religion are:
1. Religious arrogance:
I am amazed how religions claim to know everything and they are right without question when they're blatantly wrong. I don't know why but religions (and some of their followers ), seem to have a self-righteous 'I am better than you because my deity favors me over you because I believe in them and kiss his ass daily' superiority complex and say they have all the answer to everything. Well they don't and never will and the arrogance to say that they do to your face in an almost superior tone, pissed me off. Before you say 'Well Atheists act all superior like they know the answers' is because sometimes we do, not often, most are wrong because they not bothered to do their homework but at least those who know they're wrong are not afraid to admit it (unless they're complete assholes). I for one would like to be proven wrong if you have evidence to back it.
2. Religious stubbornness:
It really grinds my gears how the religious who time and time again refuse to say they're wrong, and this issue is with all of the Abrihamic religions and some of the Eastern ones. Time and time again Science have proven: creationism, flat-earthism, the Islamic of how babies are made, saltwater and freshwater not mixing, biblical diseases cure e.t.c. Completely and utterly wrong. Basic if Science can test it and religion says something about their testable thing, religion is always wrong. Religions refused to change and there believers are trying to reinforce complete bullshit there chucking out. And that's just on science, religion refuse to believe it's own roots and where it originally came from, not there 'believed' root from their holy book but they're real roots.
3. Religious intolerance:
This one annoys me the most, religions have a habit of having an 'if you're not with us, you're against us' policy, and what I mean by that is if you do not conform to are ideal standards, rules and policies 'set by god' then you will burn in hell (or the other non Christian equivalents). And these are normally, suppression of women, the enslavement/execution of those who do not believe (not so much a problem these days), the shunning/banishing/inexceptance/execution/beating (delete where appropriate) of homosexuals, the enslavement of any race but your own, the intolerance of any other religion (or making them second class citizens). Do I need to say more.
4. Religious indoctrination:
I have a firm believe that you can believe what every crap you want, I really don't care as long as you're not harming anybody else. But I have to draw the line were Religions force their views onto others, Excpectaly children. Most Children are born with a clean slate and can be taught anything (almost) they can be taught to love, respect and think for their selves your they can be taught to hate, and hate everything and everybody that's not one of them, Just like the kids of the WBC (this is the only time I will say anybody specific). Those kids have had their batshit crazy parents for feed cherrypicked religious garbage since they were born, now all they can do is hate the world and then anybody who is not part of their Christian breakaway cult is going to burn in hell. This is what ALL religions are doing to their kids on a global scale and somehow it is acceptable to force feed this untrue crap straight into their young minds. It sickens me. And why do they do this, because adults are a lot harder to convince and educated one will not tolerate this complete and nonsense.
5. Religious claims:
region over the year has claimed to have helped people recover from illness and injury though the power of prayer, as well for helping people survive horrible disasters. Where is not done a single thing, it was the hand of the surgeons, the Doctors, the Rescue workers and aid workers who put their time and care in there go to increase the chances of survive of more people and in the case of doctors and surgeons at great personal expense going to university and putting the time and money to able to. Religious claims of healing are normal falsifiable if seen to by a professional. And Miricals are normally sciencifly provable or well be In the near future.
6. Religious greed: This section is more about the leaders than the followers or doctrines or the more humble preachers (or equivalent) who pay that money back into the community.
What also annoys me is how the leaders, who are supposed to believing humble and just spreading the message and help those understand their deity, wear really fancy clothes, make of expensive materials with Rollex's and iPhones 5's and drive (or driven rather) around in really expensive cars and have more bodyguards and protectors then the president of the USA. I don't think this is what their deity had in mind. Also the places of worship are always made out of the most expensive, hardly, and extravagant materials you can find with craftsmanship that's second to none, while the areas around it are a lot less likely to last and generally look a lot more shit than the place of worship. For example, the Vatican, that place if sold just on it's own (none of the removeables in it) would easily go for $1000b, the throw-in the Pope site on could feed an African nation for a month, The Popemoblie is a custom built rolling tank with see through windows, the Cloths the pope wears are properly make out of silk or some really expensive material. If the Vatican and all of it treasures were sold it could easily wipe out starvation and poverty in Africa forever. But no, what do religions do they hoard it, making a better more lavish lifestyle for their selves and let your 'donations' pay their bill.
And in America it worst as religion has gone cooperate, with books, DVDs, recordings, merchandise, 'healing' services (if the price is right) and other stuff, all in a hope for the flocks to open their wallets to help save their souls from satan (Christianity only as far as I know). And if you guessed it, that money goes straight to the people whole run it and the gamble it away to make more to have more influence (tax free of course) and then supporting a candidate (though a film they just happen to own that not affiliated with that church in any way) that will make them even more money and 'help' more people into their religion thought policy going towards that religion.
But the other religions are no better, some are worse than others, but the leaders are greedy, wealthy and find their religion the perfect tool to make more money out of peoples' fears as you don't get to heaven (or equivalent) without paying for it.
Last but not least
7. Religious stupidity: This really rattles me.
The flock who buys this stuff hook, line and sinker. I mean most of the religious flock are, how can I put it, not the most intelligent (not all, there are and have been some very smart people who were religious, Nobel prize winners, sometimes) but most are not terribly bright (and there are also thick as a brick atheists too, don't get me wrong Also I am going on global average and not county specific as that would change everything). Weither is misinformation, poor education or holding religion over science. It really rattles me then somebody is religious tries to disprove something that's already confirmed BS or tries to disprove a prove fact with evidence that is either impossible to test or already know to be bullshit. Or they do something like letting a child die because that were using faith healing instead of a real doctor. Also using their book to justify an action that is immoral or harmful, take Terrorism for example or killing abortion Doctors. Or just some as silly as not eating pork because a book says its wrong. I can sympathize with those who have been given misinformation and don't know any better, but it's those who are willfully ignorant and are determined to make everyone into a not thinking slave that only knows what it has been told and will deny any fact, no mater how much evidence we have, that's who I have a problem with and their religion.
ok rant over, I hide the sections so you did not get a wall of text as I is quite a long rant. Like I said before this is not about a deity (something for a whole other rant) this is about religions in general and some of these may or may not apply to all of them. This is my view/critic on religion as a whole and on the human side and this is nothing personal so only some may or not apply to you but don't worry it's not a personal attack (I thought I would say that again before somebody take it the wrong way). And if you feel insulted then consider this as emotional barren training, for when you have to face something like this in the future. And again please don't take it personally, This is me vent my frustration with this world.
Also before Either side starts, this in not based on any facts or educational value, this is me venting and I have done 0 research for this. so don't call me on any facts however if you do want to add some education value feel free, just don't have a go at me for venting.

How can I hate a process that occur naturally? Besides I am having a go at religions how they are not how they started, I believe religions started off with good intentions that have evolved into the corrupt, money driven, backwards religions today. For the most past as not all religions and sect of religion are the same so I am not talking about a particular one, I am talking about them in general, obviously some are better than others but some of them are really not doing the rest of the religions any favors at all.

Pretty easily. Cancer for instance. Naturally occuring, easy to hate.
You did not just say that.
Cancer is not a process, it's a part of the natural process of evolution were is causing a bad mutation and it goes haywire, infecting everything around it.
Its like saying you hate a loan company because you did not qualify for a loan, under that loan application process.
