Why do you believe?

As they say, extraordinary claims of gullibility require extraordinary evidence.

Ah, those would be the ones that come under the "it does not happen all the time" qualifier. It only happens secretly, you see, a friend of a friend usually reads about it happening in some remote part of some foreign land. Or there'll be a YouTube video of a preacher pulling on someone's foot, not to mention the combined legs of his sheep. God moves not only in a mysterious way, but an invisible one as well. It's almost as if the old boy wasn't there, isn't it?

How about amputees!?

Amputees have been healed by certain church ministers. But like I said it does not happen all the time. If it happened all the time we would get too proud and think we know everything about God. A Christian must be proved faithful to see even one miracle, to see many you need to be really in touch with God. Few Christian see miracles, I once asked on a Christian forum how many of you have experienced the miraculous. There were no replies. Yet I have met many miracle workers, who have seen miracles, and have experienced it myself.

The truth is that your sin keeps you from believing, you want your sin lifestyle more than God. If you were genuinely interested in the truth, the things I discuss on my website at http://www.futureandahope.net could cause you to change your minds, and see God does communicate with people. Or you could also go to that site at http://www.wcdn.org/wcdn_eng/case/divine_case_e.asp and see documented cases of divine healing, yes with photos etc. I just hope you don't sin yourselves into hell, God does allow lies and the devil to separate those who want to do evil. But he also gives all of us truth. Do you want me too go away with my stories of the miraculous and leave you too wait for some well meaning Christian who knows nothing but words from a book, so you can use you firm belief in evolution, or contradictions from the bible, to deceive him, and say "now lying", I have seen no proof, I have heard nothing, it is all just coincidence. Choose this day to be a son of hell, destined for eternal life, or choose to open your heart to God. God wants you saved, but if you want sin more than friendship with God, he is not merciful.

This is some of the most ignorant ASSUMING BS I have ever read.

1) Amputees have been healed? PROVE IT! I would bet you EVERY possession I own that you can't. Ever hear of the James Randy Foundation? They will give you $1 million if you can demonstrate a miracle like this.

http://www.randi.org/site/index.php/1m-challenge.html

2) You say, "If it happened all the time we would get too proud and think we know everything about God." What a perfect way to make yourself IMMUNE from having to give evidence! Guess what? You are doing the same thing all the other religions do - claiming miracles and then backpedaling because you can't demonstrate. Read Mark 16! And then show us a cleared out hospital. Remember, he said "greater works than these shall ye do." I want to see your GREATER WORKS than moving an entire mountain! Until then, all you have are EXCUSES.

3) You say, "A Christian must be proved faithful to see even one miracle". NOPE! You simply don't know your bible. How about Thomas? How about the 5000?? How about the Pharisees and Sadducees? You simply don't know what you're talking about here and you're making rationalizations/excuses (like every Christian does) because you can't demonstrate your claims.

Again, unexplained phenomena are just that...UNEXPLAINED. They are NOT miracles. To call them that, you need more than just an argument from ignorance.

4) The whole "choose this day" repetitive bible quoting nonsense is old. I used to say the same thing! We know what the bible says. Now demonstrate it. Demonstrate greater miracles than Jesus allegedly did. Heal an amputee on live television[/b] (Fox, CNN, and MSNBC). Then we can talk. Until then, you haven't demonstrated anything except that you are practicing CREDULITY.

Hi,

There is proof out there of divine healing. The following organisation is run by Christian Doctors and documents cases of divine healing. Go to their website for such proof.

How are they at curing decapitation?

(There's a valid reason for my asking that. I'm not just trying to be a dick.)
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

That website is a bit laughable.... I couldn't read any of the medical reports.
If they want to show proof, they should actually show it, not just hint it.

This then comes across as dishonest and the whole site's credibility falls.
Sorry, try again.

You keep repeating your Argument from Ignorance, as if we haven't seen that site before. We have. Do you even know what an argument from ignorance fallacy is?

Again, your "miracle" claims are unsubstantiated and unsupported. What you keep talking about are UNEXPLAINED THINGS. You have NOT established them as miracles. So my last point stands.

You are practicing being GULLIBLE.

You have ZERO good reasons to think these are miracles, anymore than ANY unexplained thing is a "miracle". Unexplained things are NOT miracles. That is why they are called "unexplained". Your Yahweh "God" didn't come down and verify it was him that did it. So you have no way to separate unexplained things from what you WANT to call miracles.

Quote:There is proof out there of divine healing.

PROVE IT. Proof requires conclusive, specific (non-vague), demonstrable, testable, and accurate information in these instances of extraordinary claims. Provide actual PROOF, not just an Argument from Ignorance.

There was a report out of Mexico of a person who was decapitated at the head, (or crushed) and died after they fell off the back of a ute and was crushed by a truck, and the church prayed for some hours, and the head came good again, and they came alive. This is the ministry where it happened http://www.freedom-ministries.us/

That website that I gave has examples of divine healing, we can't record them all. Not every thing can be prooved. How can I proove the story above there is no way.

The site at
http://www.wcdn.org/wcdn_eng/case/divine_case_e.asp you say does not have actual reports. If you want them you should contact them you should contact them and ask for some examples.

Pro 21:28-30 A false witness will perish, but whoever listens will testify successfully. The wicked man puts up a bold appearance, but the upright thinks about what he is doing. No wisdom, insight, or counsel can prevail against the LORD.

Non-biased source that even resembles a medical journal?

This is one of the biggest crocks of shit I've ever heard in my life. You should be ashamed of yourself.

To me, you are a classic example of a person defending something that is not defendable because of a severe case of brainwashing. Where do you live? In Jonestown?
