Because you dont have that feeling. You simply make that statement in the hope that I didn`t.

Actually I have that feeling, because it would have made much more sense to link to this article, rather than an article mostly about Hinduism etc.

no it wouldnt because the previous one gave a very decent and short overview.

Amazing how you manage to shove the topic from your failure tou deliver counterarguments, to the way I make my posts. amazing!
You really are a very slimy snake.

Now do you have anything to counter with?

This is the rebirth mechanism in Theravada:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twelve_Nid%...fold_Chain

It has nothing to do with sins. Karma is not even one of the 12 links.

RE: Buddhism, against having fun.
i gave you a link to the karma article which pointed out that there was karma in buddism,
then you make a post with a link to an article about karma in buddism.

now you post that there is no karma in buddism because an "application" - (anwendung)

It doesn`t change the fact that within buddism there is the concept that people suffer because of their deeds in the life they had before.
And the proposal of buddism to save one from this dreamt up scheme is just as proposterus as any other snakeoil merchants proposal for safty in an afterlife.

No, what I'm saying is that the pop understanding of karma is nothing like that in Buddhism.

If Theravada is important to this discussion, could you please provide a few sentences describing it first.
As said before, this thread is about Buddhism. And karma IS a huge part of Buddhism. Hello, the Dalai Lama references it all the time. Have you ever seen the film, "The Unmistaken Child"? Kinda crazy stuff there.

ok

Quote:Sanskrit (संस्कृतम् saṃskṛtam [sə̃skɹ̩t̪əm], originally संस्कृता वाक् saṃskṛtā vāk, "refined speech"), is a historical Indo-Aryan language, the primary liturgical language of Hinduism and a literary and scholarly language in Buddhism and Jainism. Today, it is listed as one of the 22 scheduled languages of India[3] and is an official language of the state of Uttarakhand.[4] Sanskrit holds a prominent position in Indo-European studies.
The corpus of Sanskrit literature encompasses a rich tradition of poetry and drama as well as scientific, technical, philosophical and dharma texts. Sanskrit continues to be widely used as a ceremonial language in Hindu religious rituals and Buddhist practice in the forms of hymns and mantras. Spoken Sanskrit is still in use in some villages, a few traditional institutions in India and there are many attempts at further popularization.

Sanskrit.............. a language.

now point out how karma is different in buddism.

By using words which make sence and dont make you look as if you were simply using unkown words in a desperate attempt to keep a highground.

Now if you edit your posts to edit out parts of your redicilous argument, because you know that they are redicilous I dont know why this should be continued.

Yes I did see Unmistaken Child. Whats so crazy about it?

Karma is "not a huge part of Buddhism," let alone the pop understanding of karma. Karma just means action is Sanskrit. And thats what it simply means in Buddhism.

Well, technically I said "kinda crazy" but whatever. It shows the way they live(kinda crazy: as in very very different from us) with all their karma, and holy children reborn from past lives, etc.

I disagree until I have proof otherwise. That will be difficult as all evidence I have found says karma is not just mere "action"

Considering that the 12 links of DO are the centerpiece of basic Buddhism, I think I already proved it.

If you want more proof, take a look at:
