Reading God Is Not Great by Christoper Hitchens let me know that I actually was an atheist and had been one all along.
Even if the open windows of science at first make us shiver after the cozy indoor warmth of traditional humanizing myths, in the end the fresh air brings vigor, and the great spaces have a splendor of their own - Bertrand Russell

Yeah, in the technical sense I remain so myself. But, before that, I was one of those kinds who insisted that both arguments were equal in their impossibility to prove. Dawkins specifically addresses this stance and in such a way that I changed my mind.

Why don't you try actually understanding my POV as I articulate it very clearly. I don't presume ID theory over Evolution at all.

In that case I apologise.

Richard Dawkins and Bill Maher were the 2 people that convinced me to rid myself of religious crap.

Richard is a very smart man, we need more people like him on this earth.

Funnily enough, even though I'm atheist, I have to say that Dawkins annoys me. He just does, and always has.
You are currently experiencing a lucky and very brief window of awareness, sandwiched in between two periods of timeless and utter nothingness. So why not make the most of it, and stop wasting your life away trying to convince other people that there is something else? The reality is obvious.

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

I left for a while to take a lengthy break from debating. Had my break, so now...I'm back. Big Grin
