Your Views on Dawkins?
|
He's good when he sticks to his own scientific field of evolutionary biology. When it comes to theology and philosophy I don't think he has much of a clue nor any real understanding why people believe what they believe.

I think he knows perfectly well why people believe, its just that he has no time for that way of thinking. I find the strange way peoples minds work fascinating though, the ways people justify there beliefs is quite intriguing. You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid. People don't believe in religions because they're deluded nor do they have a mind virus. Some of it's cultural, some of it's philosophical, some of it is hopefullness and some of it is some inner sense of something or other.
