Yes yes yes, it could take lifetimes to learn to appreciate the cut and stich of imaginary cloth. It's made all the more difficult but not actually being able to see such cloth. Of course, many have commented on it's beauty and complexity, so surely there must be something. My arabic is limited to two phrases. I've been led to believe that roughly translated they mean "Stop or I will open fire" and "I need water".......but abject lack of command over any arab dialect has never presented much difficulty when I go to make an observation about your emperors clothes (the observation chiefly being - that he's isn't wearing any).
To put this into perspective, it's as though someone has told you that you are incapable of understanding Snow White without first immersing yourself in period correct german, then spending a lifetime poring over its pages. No dice.

Where are the original verses of the Qur'an? The one's penned by Muhammad himself. Have you ever seen these yourself? Has anyone you know seen these with their own eyes? Why do you believe that the words that you see in the book are perfect copies of what Gabriel told Muhammad? Is there any way to verify this today? How would anyone know if a piece of parchment contained the writings of Muhammad the prophet over Muhammad the candlestick maker?
If a digging crew unearthed a pot dating from Muhammad's time and , let's say for argument's sake, a new scroll of verses that actually had been written by the prophet Muhammad was found, how would the Islamic hierarchy respond to it? Would they Attempt to validate it? Would they burn it? Would they accept it without question, even if it countered some previous beliefs? How would you respond to such a purported find?

If we are to believe the myths, they would have all been burned...on the behest of a believer no less...so as to avoid "unofficial" copies in circulation....

How do you know for sure that Muhammad was illiterate? Did you just take someone's word for it? What if someone lied about that? Has anyone ever lied in Islamic statements? Assuming Allah wanted the people to hear his exact words, does it make sense that he would tell these words to an illiterate man in one far-off corner of the world, in only one time period?
Wouldn't it make more sense for god to write the words himself in every language and present a copy to every person in the world, and with every new generation he should send new direct copies of his directives so that there could not be any confusion of words and so that no person would have to depend on another man that could lie to him?

problem is a ton of them have turned up and they are not identical to the original check Sana manuscript. so the argument of unchanged mmmh.
Also Mohammed never insisted that any recitation of the Quran had to be identical, as a matter of fact he when asked said it was ok that 2 followers were reciting the verses differently so The Caliph decided to go against what Mohammed had said. As a matter of fact Mohammed said there was 7 or 9 different recitations given can't remember exact no so if the Caliph has destroyed quite a large proportion of Allah's given recitations. So not only did he decide he knew more than Mohammed but also Allah. Also he showed a lack of trust in Allah and Mohammed when he should have known that Allah had said he was going to protect this last revelation in the very Qur'an.
