I was raised protestant therefore i don't care about the pope at all! to me he is def. a fraud who wants to be the most important human being..
how come that catholics pray for the pope and believe that he is chosen by god?
are there any atheists who have good arguments on that? ( i am atheist by the way and deny any existance of god/s , angels and supernatural stuff)

Well, I certainly believe the pope exists. Can't say that about God.

The pope is supposed to be a person, who once became a priest, then a bishop, cardinal and then, pope.
He climbed the whole ladder.
So, my guess is that somehow, he must be aware of all the BS that his religion presents to the common people. He should also be aware of the methods used to keep the people believing in that religion.
That doesn't mean that he doesn't believe it himself.
Belief is hard to shake off, even if someone shows you it's BS... just look at all the theists around this forum!

The whole RCC is a fraud. Does that answer your question?

The child molester in chief, he and his organization hold billions in cash, art and property, yet let people starve while telling them that contraception is sinful so giving them even more children they can't afford to feed. He should hang his head in shame. (or maybe just hang)

People believe all kinds of things.
Some believe the Catholic church is still a "force for good", despite historical and ongoing events demonstrating otherwise.
The institution, like most organisations, only cares about itself; its goals, its agenda, its money, its wealth. It strives to always expand its power-base. They don't care about you or me. They don't give a shit about their penniless followers and care even less for their fiercest critics. Yet people still believe they are trying to help them, to preserve some subjective view on the "quality" and "sanctity" of life.
That's people for you.
