I have always had a problem with the notion that God would have hardened Pharaoh’s soft heart and pave the way for him to kill/murder the first born of Egypt. For God to do so would have been evil indeed.

Go read the account. Pharaoh's heart wasn't soft to begin with.

If God is the God of the Natural universe then why is He only limited to moving in supernatural ways?
Doesn't make more since that the God who put into places all of the governing laws of nature, use said nature to accomplish what He will?

What attributes the events in Exodus to God is not how they came to happen, but that God fortold of them, and used them to as a means to accomplish His end goals.

Putting God behind what nature does is the same as I D and their God of the Gaps.

If that is your best then--------Duh, I don't know so it must be a God.

As far as the archaeological evidence is concerned it didn't happen. Nor is there any mention of Jews living as slaves in Egypt anywhere in any of the writtren records the Egyptians kept. But there are two things of interest.

1) Moses is an Egyptian not a Hebrew name.
2) The very first monotheistic religion originated in ancient Egypt.

There is no evidence that a slave force escaped from Egypt. Really, the idea of it goes against everything we know about Egyptian culture. Egypt kept to itself and took care of it's citizens. Slaves didn't build the pyramids, workers did during the flood season. They were fed and clothed. Even women enjoyed a lot of freedoms in those days. The Exodus doesn't make sense and seeing how it wasn't even written down by the Hebrews until Babylon held their leaders as hostages during the Neo-Babylonian era, I doubt it's accurate.

I agree but that does not eliminate the Hyksos migration which was probably what was written up as the Exodus by adding a God character.

That type of typological rendering was common in that day.
Such correlations have been made between the N T and the book The Wars of the Jews.

Any who think that religion and foolish beliefs do not matter are fools.
We are all effected one way or another. You may have escaped foolish belief but are a fool if you think all your children and grandchildren will but if you do not care about then then just do nothing.

It is my view that all literalists and fundamentals hurt all of us who are moral religionists as well as those who do not believe. They all hurt their parent religions and everyone else who has a belief or not. They make us all into laughing stocks and should rethink their position. There is a Godhead but not the God of talking animals, genocidal floods and retribution. Beliefs in fantasy, miracles and magic are evil.
