RE: God is above conventional reason
It's confirmation bias, but I'm sure you realise this now...

Don't worry about the circular logic legal restrictions, you have sooooo many more logical fallacies you can utilize... Undecided

What? I have the belief that everyone should think for themselves, the Bible confirmed that...
This should be simple, no? Unless of course you assume to read my mind and know my thoughts?

Didn't think so, have fun!

You are the one who claimed that god a by definition all perfect and all knowing thing was beyond all human understanding.
Therefor trying to comprehend "god" was impossible with human reasoning.

I made a clear comparison of what human reasoning gave us and what your god gave us so far.

The conclusion is, if he was beyond understanding (which he isnt) he wasnt worth understanding because our reasoning gave us more than your invisble friend who doesnt want to be understood.

This ^^^.
If god were god and the assertions made about him were true then he would know that he'd made us without understanding and we'd either not even ask OR he'd provide understanding. Either way not a god worth following. It's just a bad joke. Gods shouldn't pull bad jokes. Make us smart enough to wonder and question but not smart enough to understand? I don't buy it.

Better to laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints....

Dont stand in a public square at lunch break and tell everyone to leave you alone.

The very definition of a public square, means that it is public.

Or are you here for intentional, public comedic value?

That the good thing about it, it tells you to make up your own mind. Anyone who tells you that you must believe in the Bible or believe a certain way is actually going against what is written there... (your interpretation may vary)
.

That's great! That's exactly what I did.

That's when I saw all the contradictions (internal and external), historical inaccuracies, moral atrocities, scientific hogwash, etc contained in the Bible. Add to that, that it was written by unknown authors decades or more after the alleged events, and it became obvious that is is not a reliable source for any of its supernatural claims.

You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
