Fantastic, a belated but worthwhile description of the 15th of Feb.
the 15th is smack in the middle of Anniversabirthentines Day. The 14 is V-Day, the 15th is my wifes B-day, the 16th is our anniversary. All part of a minor bacchannalia I arranged for about 5 years ago. Whiteys got game.
So this year......on the 15th, my wife went to the doctors office - and I went to the realtors. She brought home ultrasound images of my happy healthy 8 lb baby boy, tentatively named Cormac unless he disagrees when I meet him (in a few weeks). And I brought home a contract on a new and bigger house (which closes in a few weeks). 3,200 sq ft, 5 bedrooms 3 baths, woods, creeks...gorgeous.

I did something similar many years ago. I popped a couple of slices of bread under my Mum's eye-level grill and lit the gas, then went off and immediately forgot about them. Of course they were burned black by the time I remembered, but I decided to turn them over and toast the other side (I don't mind a bit of carbon); whereupon I completely forgot about them again. Later when I went to check on them, they were not only burned, they were actually on fire.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

All right, yesterday, in German History we learned about WW2 and the Holocaust. Later, I had my first fiction writing tutoring appointment of the semester. Apart from that, I watched The Big Lebowski and went to the store.

My day thus far: Woke up feeling like death warmed over (I have a nasty cold and cough). Got the boys up, dressed, fed. Made their lunches, took them to school. Stopped at CVS and got drugs and tissues for my cold. Perusing the interwebs until I have to pick them up in about 2 hours, because when you're sick and want to go back to bed, it's a half day at school, boo.

Hardly slept last night. Woke up earlier because I couldn't lay there anymore. Started getting ready for school. I'm so anxious I can barely stand it. It makes me throw up. I get back to the room and panic. Hard. Right in the middle of changing. I woke Hovik up and he held me until it stopped. He convinced me to go back to bed instead of attempting to drive 1.5 hours to get to school. I slept about 6 more hours. Woke up, couldn't speak, but could sign well enough. Managed to have tender, loving "morning" sex. Now I'm here, still speechless. Usually weed gets me back to talking, but I don't even want to get up to do it. Does anyone else with a lot of anxiety get depressed after panic attacks?
