It's not just Christians. Religious Jews will pray 3 times a day and at the end will bow in 3 different directions, one to Michael, one to Gabriel, and then straight ahead (God). How is my answer not an awesome answer? It take what is recorded in the bible and what 'science' claims and seamlessly puts them together. The only thing that has to be sacrificed or left behind is a juvenile/Hollywood understanding of how science and the bible must remain separate.
