So why do you "presume" so much??
It's right there in your wholly book, and written in the pages of your history...
So WHY IS islam stuck in the 6th century??

For the same reason that Christianity is stuck in the 1st and Judaism is stuck in the -15th
Because religion cannot remove dogma, but the very definition religion cannot change, because to do so admits fallibility. And if God told someone that something is eternally true, a fail for him would be a fail for all adherents. Hence the stupid "Intelligent Design" debate.

This piece of shit raped his 5 year old daughter to death, and under Saudi (sharia)law got off with a fine and no prison time.

@ EGross
Actually, I don't think so.
Most xtians can read and the "church" (albeit 600 years later) finally accepted the bible in english (could have the dates wrong) but essentially islam makes xtianity look positively progressive and up to date! islam relys on the worship of written words as if they are something magical and can not be touched and to do this the imams and ayatollahs, sheiks and the other hangers on need a population that is stupid.

Saudi law =\= Sharia law. And plus, the official law in Islam for rape is death. Even in Saudi law, a child rapist is usually beheaded and then crucified. I wish we had that law in this country. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_...342005.stm

How is this presumption of guilt? How is this a loaded question??
We are asking you how does your religion validate this behaviour because as far as we are concerned..... it is an abomination and a crime.

He did. So you believe the natives of papa new guinea, or native americans had the quran revealed to them? I see what you mean now, I misunderstood your question. It is not an obligation for those who have not received the Qur'an to believe in it. This is in the Qur'an itself. However, do not confuse this with belief in God or his Prophets. It is very likely, if not an absolute certainty that the ancestors of the papa new guineans or native americans had some Prophet come to them at some point to teach them about God. But as for the Qur'an itself, then God doesn't punish those who have not heard the message (this includes people in Europe or elsewhere who may not have had access to the Qur'an)

You got bad people of all fatihs, and evil atheists too. So a news report on one bad fellow is not really a condemnation of all of them.
There is a segment of Jews here in Israel that we refer to as the "Jewish Taliban". The women wear burkas, rocks are thrown at cars where a woman is driving, and heaven forbid if you own a TV set. They have also been harrassing young girls (below age 10) for not being "suitibly dressed".
Freaks, all of them. And rarely will you hear any rabbinical leadership condemn them. It just isn't done to condemn your own before outsiders.
And I know of certain Christian sects like that. I am not sure if there are radical athiests, though.
