What makes muslims think the quran was written by god?
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.

A science book is based on observations on that scientific field and the concluding theory which can be reobserved and thereby reevaluated on a constant basis.
Your book, is based on the random gibberish of a 7th century antisemitic pedophile, epeleptic and warmonger.
Thank you, I might have not put it quite that way, but that was certainly my point.

I never said it was wrong to go back to islamic texts when talking about the topic. But with your 'logic', all works of fiction is in that case true and you're comparing a cook book with a scroll on how to make a love potion.

Do you have a mirror? Look in it to get your answer. Well, I never said that something is true simply because it is found in a book. That's an argument you made missy, cut the strawman and cut the bullshit. I was asked a question on Islam and I answered it based upon Islamic text. Understand? It's as simple as that Ms Simpleton.

I can only speak for myself really. There are many reasons why I am convinced that the Qur'an is the speech of God, too long to post here. But the chief reason, the main reason is something which is difficult to convey to those who are not linguists especially in the semitic languages but I'll say it anyway. The rhythm and rhyme of the Qur'an convinces me that it is a Divine speech, not the speech of a human. The exact reasons are far too detailed for me to elaborate here but I will show you a 4.5 minute clip of a chapter of the Qur'an being recited if you want to listen. There are english subtitles if you want to follow the meaning but you have to read them quickly. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=WDU1Ht_Cb6s Basically, the recitation is not normal or human, no human can come up with such a meticulous recitation whilst still have coherent information to convey, that's what I believe.

yeh we haven't spoke since you refused to tell me how you managed to learn how lies were bad before you learned how to talk or walk. It's a shame you can't tell me why you think the quran is divine aswell.

I know you aren't capable of giving responses, because the claim was stupid that you knew lies were bad before you learned anything.

Here's a question for the Muslim here: why does Allah demand we do his killing for him? He's clearly more powerful and he can do his own dirty work without any chance of innocent bystanders being hurt.
Course, this question could be asked of most theists.

Whichever form of killing is more often referenced in the Qu'ran.
