The main issue with Anti's? You want God to prove Himself to you! Well...Free Will, (aka Freedom) means we don't need any proof!

Congratulations on not making any sense. God appearing wouldn't have anything to do with free will. If God appeared and proclaimed that everybody should worship him, we'd all still be free to do it or not. So saying that God appearing somehow robs us of the chance to not believe in him (and thus burn eternally) is a nonsensical argument. I fail to see any reason why God would hide himself.

Well....according to the Holy Bible many of you non-believers will die of freight upon seeing Him...or at the very least piss your pants!

The problem with that Catholic argument is this:

We have a book that says that God showed himself in a burning bush, caused supernatural events to plage Egypt for nearly a year, brought forth a pillar of fire and cloud for all to see, split the oceans that the Hebrews and the Egyptians witnessed, had a big light and sound show...

And 1500 years later, he causes a big zombie fest for the dead to rise up in Jerusalem...

And we then get this bullshit answer "Well, God doesn't want to do anything because that might influence people..."

What, he changed his mind? Got tired? No longer gives a damn?!

Or maybe, just maybe, none of that suff really happened, and the believers deep down know that, and they have to lie to themselves with "Oh, God can't do anything miraculous, like STOPPING A FREAKING PLANE FROM BLOWING UP THE TWIN TOWERS because, well, that would be forcing his will on people.

You got your bibles chock full of God forcing His Freaking Will page after page!

If they'd been corrupted there'd be inconsistencies and stuff that doesn't seem right.

How do you prove that little boys can fly around on brooms? How can you prove Harry Potter wasn't corrupted?

All holy books are fiction so it doesn't matter if they are "corrupted" by revisions. That would be like adding a unicorn horn to Mickey Mouse and then arguing "The original Mickey Mouse didn't have a horn".

If they'd been corrupted there'd be inconsistencies and stuff that doesn't seem right.

Humans can corrupt a text or re-write it with making sure there is no contradictions or inconsistencies.

Also, just because you haven't found contradictions doesn't mean there isn't any. I read Quran 40 times and also went on anti-Islam websites to see if they can find anything wrong with what it says, and it always seemed to me that Quran was faultless. Now I have about 40 issues with Quran.

While the question of textual corruptions is certainly an interesting one, what's more fundamental, to me, are the philosophical maneuvers used to justify this or that use of the text as foundational. Even if I were to stipulate, ex hypothesi, that the words were as virgin and uncorrupted as the first day they were penned, the problems for founding a religion, ideology, or philosophy on that text have only just begun.
