To add further, it can be when society begins to cheat on spouses regularly, that it can lead to other corruptions. And the over all corrupt nature of the society - will lead to other crimes - that cause physical harm to people. On the other hand, there more purity and honor society upholds, the less corruption and in turn less crimes that cause physical harm to people.
Therefore from this perspective, "lashes" or "stoning", maybe justified.
I'm playing Devil's advocate. I haven't thought that much about the issue to reach a conclusive belief.

Not a road you want to go down.

Good thing you decided to speak on it, then.

I said it can be possible it is the case. I didn't say it was necessarily the case or that I think it is the case.
So I got nothing to prove...when I say "it can"...I mean as far as we know...not that it is necessarily possible.

Well my first real encounter has not reassured me that not all of them are evil... Anyway, I get my morals from my feelings. As in when I feel bad for doing something, I don't do it. Vice versa with doing something good. Also I try to read books and get the moral lesson from the story. Lastly, I use my logic and reasoning skills to the best of my ability.

The bible serves as a anchor and guide to refining the conscience. It is not the source itself, just information about the ultimate source of morality.
That does not exclude the possibility that the conscience was formed by an evolutionary process. In naturalism the evolutionary selection process is blind and its results are amoral, hence conscience itself and reasoning based upon it would not be a dependable source. In Christian thought the evolution has a built-in teleology. It conforms to a predetermined end, i.e. that all sentient beings will come to recognize a rational moral order to the universe.

At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

Common sense, I suppose. If it harms someone/something, I tend to consider it immoral. Simple really.

If it feels good do it
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.
