I'm very pleased with the TV show. But then, I was pleased with Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit, despite all the screaming, and also with the latest Pride & Prejudice, which deviated from many details. There are so many movies which change things and lose the spirit of the book entirely, and those suck. Then there are directors who make smart changes, and keep the spirit and those are awesome. Martin is actually working with the producers, I think, so it's not likely they'll fuck up too much.
