Nice. Speaking of Game of Thrones...I just cuaght the first two seasons and the season 3 premiere on a free HBO weekend - had to go steal the books. Read any of em?

I read the first long ago - read it again just recently so I can catch up on the second and third, and then I'll watch the second and third seasons of the TV series. I thought the first season was exceptionally well done. More tits than Skinemax though. Jesus.
It might take me some time, however, since I'm also trying to reread the first 6, then finish the next six, of the Wheel of Time series, which is equally, if not more convoluted and far-reaching in scope. Without as many tits.

I read the first Game of Thrones book, and I was surprised at how closely the show followed the book. I never got around to reading the others in the series, though.

The book is always better. As I already mentioned, however, I was not at all disappointed with what they did with the first season in terms of syncing it with the book. Since I have not read past the first book,, I am unsure whether the second season fared as well when compared to the book.

The books are definately better, but it's fun to see how the show brings it to life... Well, that and to see which bits were deemed "important enough" to be included. The last book has many cliff hangers, so I'm holding out for clues.

I've read the 5 books and can't wait for the next 2...
They split book 3 in two seasons, so this 3rd season will only be the first half....
not saying anything else.
